I have i once got pulled over for having a small roasary in my rearview mirror. when i asked him why he pulled me over he said it obstructed my view. I got so mad i sais what the f*** man and just arued with him and said this was bs. i just sat there and look mad. thats when he said something that pissed me off, he said i would let you go but i have a ticket quota to meet. the nerve of this guy, did he think that was gonna make me feel better. that just showed me they have nothing better to do than give honest citizens chicken s*** tckets. instead of busting drunk drivers or drug dealers.

you know what screw that, unless you have a legitimate reason for stopping me like swerving all over the place or expired tags. your just looking to give tickets and dont deny, funny the side of the LAPD says to serve and protect but really its to ticket you and wate your time.

Becasue they are just like all of us, i actually was going to become a cop so in know and they should not be given people tickets for that or for turning right on a red light.

oh and yeah he did tell me he was metting his quota, and just ask any cop they do have a quota to meet. thats why it pissed me off so much, and dont think all cops are saints. for the most part 95% are great guys. but who do you think become cops, people who want athority and somtimes abuse it.

Well. First of all, it is against the law to have something hanging on your rear view mirror in a lot of states.

He was probably just going to warn you and you decided to be an *** from the start. So thats why you got a ticket. I personally don't write attitude tickets, but if you start cursing at me. I may have to write one.

As for the mirror stuff. My first *big* drug bust was off of a license plate light out. I've caught drunks when I've stopped them for their license plates being just a couple days expired and an officer I work with just caught a guy with 90 grams of weed, a loaded gun, $1400 cash, a passenger with a $100,000 felony warrant, all because he stopped someone for no front plate.

Learn to control your temper and life will be easier for you.

Whatever the reason it is obvious.......there is no payoff in cussing at a cop whatever the reason. Be angry but hey, technically it is a violation though it does sound fishy. How big is a rosary anyway?

Its possible that he used that as an excuse to pull you over. Do you have bumper stickers, stuff hanging from the front mirror, music blasting or something like that? A tricked out little Honda? Sure it would be wrong but they do that.

If you have a rosary hanging this is probably not you. But on a side note it is always interesting to hear off or see people on the side of the road getting searched and busted for possession. They have all sorts of crap on their car that draws the eye like the things I mentioned. Jeez...... you would think that if one wanted to drive around with dope one would be low profile.

Or the angry redneck who is being accused of domestic violence yells at the cops when they show. Yep..... no payoff ever in cussing at the cops.

But since it was bull go to court. Take pictures of your car with the rosary. Take the rosary to court. Getting it dropped would be the best payback.

No. But as a police officer I have been called many names. To maintain a professional image for your department you ignore most of those comments. Now, if the cursing begins with the four letter words in public then that is disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and you can arrest the person. I understand the frustration that motorists have with trying to get past an accident scene, fire scene or situation where officers are directing traffic and everything is slow. Cursing may relieve your frustrations but it won't change anything.

I have cursed at a cop, and not because I don't respect authority but because that particular cop was a jerk. Sometimes we forget to realize that they are human, and they also make mistakes and should not be above the law themselves, or a famous person, a rich person, a diplomat etc. When we went to court the judge saw the truth, reprimanded the cop, that was justice.

When I'm that angry, I *THINK* my cussings.... I don't say them to people's faces. And, no, NEVER to a cop. I don't know, it's a respect thing I guess. Plus, when I've been pulled over, I've been in the wrong, so I deserved it... now then, when I've been pulled over, I HAVE cursed my own self for being careless and stupid behind the wheel. But the police? No. Never.

are you sure that you were pulled over for "having a small rosary" in your rearview mirror? there are always 2 sides to a story. if you were completely innocent of a crime, you would not have had to pay any fine, etc. don't come online and try to sabotage the good that law enforcement do in general.

Once. But I was drunk and lucky I didn't get arrested. (I wasn't IN a car OR driving a car)

I really doubt he told you he has a quota - unless you were being a real 'tard - which it sounds like you were.
