I have to present my project in class alone and I am worried about that. The reason being is because i get a red face, shakey voice and hands, and sweaty palms when Im presenting. Now I always remind myself that i am a confident person and that I know all these kids and have talked to them so there is no reason to be like this. I would be fine presenting if it wasnt for the sweaty palms, red face, shakey voice and hands thing. How can I control this from not happening ??

I used to feel the same way. This experience is the best thing for you. You just get better and less nervous each time you speak in front of people.

Here is what helped me -
1. Practice. Out Loud using note cards that have key points. (or if you can - practice along with your powerpoint)
2. Practice giving the entire presentation out loud without the note cards.

{I would do this the entire night before}

3. Make eye contact when presenting - look to the back of the room too - it is easy to just look at the front row.

4. Tell a story - don't memorize words. Have your key points down, but don't memorize whole sentences.

5. Smile.

good luck - you are going to do great!

These are most common things that could happen - red face, shakey voice and hands, and sweaty palms.
I been doing presentation for my seniors this month more than once and this occured.

What you can prevent is being confused, making mistake in words and losing the points in presentation, all because you are nervous.
Take a deep breath, get the confidence 100% and start the presentation. You will be fine.

The only cure there is is to keep on presenting in front of the class...eventually youll start to feel more comfortable and get over it. Good luck on your presentation with all those people looking at you

I remember my speech class in high school, every one at first gets shakey , voice problems. Make sure you know your material well. when u talk, scan the room ABOVE their heads and you can ask questions also, which will break the feeling.. Every time it gets easier, trust me been there.. good Luck...

Public speaking isn't easy to do. I used to have horrible stage skills. I got over it when I took first year drama in high school. You do a lot of silly things and stop caring what other people think. Basically the more you do it the better you get at it.
