Ok I was in a customer service situation with this guy (I was the customer). He gave me a few compliments (he liked my new hair color, he was impressed that I could pronounce a big word on the first try, he complimented a picture of me), he seemed a bit nervous, and he remembered me from a previous conversation we had several months ago. I watched him to see how he interacted with other females, but only saw him speak with males, with which he seemed very friendly. So, was he flirting with me? I'm sooo ignorant about these things.

Not really, I think he was just complimenting you. Maybe he likes you but what he just did isn't flirting.

Flirt with him. His response should make things clearer.
(Although I'm a little concerned with 'That's such a big word for such a little girl. Did you pronounce it all by yourself?' Sounds condescending. Hopefully I misinterpreted that part of the conversation.)

yeah,i think so. compliments, acting nervous those are clear signs of flirtation. if you like him go for it.

Why is it necessary that you know? If you're interested in him, then pursue him.
