I'm using lime wire and wondering what's the best place on the computer to download my music where others can't get infomation
about my computer. I mean like a safe place ?

Limewire by default only use the 'shared' folder, so others on the net can only search for things within this folder.
But be warned, most virus are transmitted via P2P software such as Limewire, so when you do get infected, you could have your whole computer opened up to hackers.
If you must use it, make sure you have a good anti virus software and update it daily.

The only place is your shared folder. It should be okay there granted you don't download a virus from limewire because there are tons of those out there. If you did that then it doesn't really matter where you save it too.

What I do is download everything to the Shared file. Then shut down Limewire and move them to a different folder

get behind a firewall and you can also get a program called folder lock anything you dont want ppl to see lock it with this program and it cant be accessed without the password and stop using limewire its full of viruses

download it and put it on external harddrive
