That depends somewhat on the denomination of the preacher but mostly I would say it varies from one individual to another. I've known ministers who preached that the Buddha was Christ for those to whom he was sent, and others who condemned buddhism as an abomination. Take your pick.
The closest answer I would give is that most Christian ministers would probably say that, while they don't agree with many aspects of Buddhism and that it is no substitute for salvation through Christ, they still respect Buddhism and Buddists for the great good that it does and that it is important not to judge them for their beliefs. The ones who preach helfire and damnation for all those who do not believe like them may be the loud ones, but I think they are a small minority.
For the record, I'm an agnostic/atheist.

Buddhist monks do not believe in the God of the Bible. If they did, they would be called "Christians". I'm sure a Christian preacher would respect a Buddhist monk, but the preacher would realize how deceived the monk is and would hope to show him the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Buddhism does not teach belief in one God, and in some forms teaches there is no god. However, popular and in particular Mahayana Buddhism (the Buddhism of China, Tibet, Mongolia, Japan and Korea) teaches the existence of many deities, and elevates the Buddha into a divine being, the origin of all that exists.
Buddhists believe in the power of karma, or actions based on desire. Such actions, either good or bad, make a person continue in the cycle of reincarnation – being reborn repeatedly until achieving enlightenment.
What do Christians believe?
Answer: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
In a nutshell, that is the belief of Christianity. Christianity is unique among all other faiths, because Christianity is more about a relationship, rather than religious practice. Instead of adhering to a list of “dos and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close walk with God the Father. That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ, and the ministry in the life of the Christian by the Holy Spirit.

Most preachers do not have much contact with monks, but because the god the monks follow is not the god the preachers belive in I think they treat them with the same respect they show every other person.

I thought buddhists thought there was no God?
Christian preachers "should" respect buddhist monks for their life of simplicity and peace/contentment (especially seeing as they are Christian values), and Christians should aim for a simple lifestyle (opposite of consumerist) and to be content and happy with what they have.
There is some truth in all religions, and there are things to be respected in all religions - instead of being totally exclusivist, I think Christians (and everyone) should respect and embrace what they can about other religions (without contradicting their own religious beliefs). Otherwise it is like labelling all people of other religions as "evil" or "totally misguided" and this is not true.

The Buddhist monks I know are like Buddha himself was, only a seeker.
They have rituals they do, and chant mantras, most of which they don't even understand, but do from tradition.
Being close to God is having a personal relationship with Him.
Buddhism doesn't come anywhere near that. They tell fortunes and do rituals, and collect offerings and donations, of course.
That said everyone who is seeking God deserves respect.

Gods word says put not your trust in man. Let Gods word be true and every mans a lier,( that includes every man) that is why every man should read the word for themselves, and if he lacks anything ask for wisdom and understanding and God gives it freely. God is not a respecter of persons. We are to respect God. What.Do you think Buddhist monks or closer to God? There are no Buddhist monks written in the word of God!

There are many who do (and I'm sure, many who don't). Do Buddhist monks respect Christian preachers for sharing the love of Christ?

Some do. There's a local Episcopal priest who works closely with Buddhist monks, and lets them lecture in the church. One time, they came and taught the Sunday School class. Also, the Unitarians have sponsored Buddhist monks and nuns as speakers.
