Freezing at load? Sounds like you need a Windows Repair.

I think u din install win xp properly. Insert the CD, boot from CD. Then follow the on screen process and click on Repair. It will repair the OS. After that , take out CD and check whetehr it is normal. Or reinstall Windows XP properly
