I am proud to say that I am one of those Christians who get "drunk in the spirit". It only happens when you draw very close to God and spend a lot of time in His presence, and it is always life changing with no bad side effects like a hangover.

Well people who are drunk in the Holy Spirit are having a great time in the presence of the Lord. Being drunk in the Holy Spirit is the best thing anyone can have including Christians who get drunk in the Holy Spirit.

Being drunk in the Holy Spirit is really different from being drunk in anything else!!!!
I think its incredible...when someone gets "drunk" in the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit is actually within them and doing wonders through them. How incredibly awesome would it be to have God dwelling inside you and living through your body?
Its amazing...I've experienced it before, you either cry because you are so overwhelmed and you love him so much or you laugh like crazy cause he has brought peace and a tremendously overwhelming joy joy to your heart or you speak tongues which I think is the coolest...its amazing you are given the ability to speak a foreign language...!!!
their all amazingly awesome miracles that reassures his existence in our lives.
God Bless!

From my belief that scripture means that all who take in Jesus's teachings will have knowlege that will lead to eternal life.

Those that get on the floor and gyrate and act as if they are posessed with holy spirit......im not so sure that comes from god. If it came from got people would be attracted to it rather than thinking "wow is he having an epileptic fit?"

and elsewhere it says about not being drunk with wine but in the Spirit. this doesnt mean falling around drawing attention to yourself. God does not advocate that! it means being full of teh holy spirit and letting Him guide your every decision

1) Water does not make you drunk
2) .... Then I suppose people drunk in the Holy Spirit should have a bumper sticker on their car, "WARNING: DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT" but I am sure some moron already thought of that.

been there ,done that. I'll put my personal relationship with what is absolutely true against whatever anyone else perceives as the truth/and you know what. didn't notice Jesus or Christianity being the point or center of this experience. give me thumbs down if you wish . i just relay my experience with the divine mystery called God. I'm no idol worship per.

I understand what's meant, but surely there's a better word than "drunk" to describe the experience ...

I've seen a few of those who are saying they are "drunk" in the spirit. Kinda freaks me out...I am almost expecitng them to puke up pea soup and their heads to revolve around. I find myself looking around for an old priest and a young priest.
