The word god is a generic term for any supernatural deity. No need to capitalize.

We write God like this because he is a noun, do you write your name with a small letter. People write God like that and still do not recognize God as God. This is just a little thing to compare to the big things man ignores about a awesome God. lets not sweat the small stuff! God is a Person,of course he is a spirit, but he is so much more,he is the great I am, everything we need. Anyone that does not believe that Jesus came in the form of a man and died and rose again is a Antichrist! Believe in the Son than you will believe in God.

God is for the Almighty God Jehovah The Sovereign of the Universe
Jesus is a mighty god. He is the only begotten son of the Most High God. And he is not the antichrist. He is the Christ.

If you are referring to the Judeo-Christian god directly, it's proper name is God. Just like your name starts with a capital, it is a proper noun.

If you are referring to god or gods in a general sense, the small g is appropriate as it is a common noun.

Simple really.

And no, god is not representative of the antichrist in any way, shape or form.

This is not in the Bible, so no to your question. I write God when referring to The One and only God of the universe, and write god when referring to any other god which is a false god.

If we are referring to "God" as an entity, we use the upper case for the same reason as we would when writing "Bob," or "Ann." It is a proper noun.

With the lower case, as in "god," we are referring to a mythological figure as in "Ares was the god of war."

If people were still taught grammar, the sort of superstitious nonsense in your question would not occur.

No, as I believe in neither. So much easier. Quit being paranoid about the spelling of a word, it's just a word, to express a concept, like all of those you find in a book called a dictionary.

i think the word "antichrist" means "antichrist". god means the person's god, and they were too lazy to capitalize it. Grow up.

There is no god. I prefer to deny the general rules of grammar here as I don't want to lend any credence to an entity I find absurd.
