Cigars are really terrible for your singing voice on the long term. if you're used to them, probably won't make much difference. If you dont' some them regularly, I avoid smoking before a performance. They also have a little nasty side affect of giving you mouth and larynx cancer.... which you might care to avoid.

In the tissues of the respiratory tract, cigarette/cigars smoke provokes effects similar to those of inflammation: redness, swelling, increased mucus production, and thickening of the surface lining or mucosa. Both the smoke particles and the heat of the inhaled fumes appear to damage the mucosa. Interestingly, unfiltered marijuana smoke causes even greater irritation to the throat and trachea than does tobacco smoke.

Smoking kills both smokers and their voices.
Cigar damage to vocal cords may not completely heal even after the smoking has ceased.

yes because of the damage you are doing to your lungs and your throat. If youknow you're going to sing tomorrow, don't smoke.
