It seems you are referring to the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13.
Put simply, half of them were prepared for the tardiness of the bridegroom (Christ's second coming) and half were not.
Read Matthew 7:21-23 for a more straightforward explanation of what Jesus was talking about. Notice he was not referring to non-believers but non-doers.
The second part of your question is right on the mark. Unless we forgive others, we will not be forgiven. It is one of the most glossed over, and ignored parts of scripture in 21st century Christianity.
It's a shame, too. Because there are going to be a LOT of "Christians" who harbored resentment in their hearts towards others and will find themselves on the business end of the lake of fire.

The unwise virgins are those who do not read their Bibles daily and therefore are not fully equipped with spiritual armor so they can remain faithful to the end. They are the ones who accept the undeserved kindness of God and miss the fact that the reason it has been given is so that millions can be saved with their help and cooperation--so they keep the good news about God's Kingdom to themselves rather than trying to share it with everyone thus storing up treasures in heaven.

Yes, the virgin that ran? out of oil? She didn't haven much to begin with.
Let's say you prepare yourself for a wedding, right? You know this at least 2 months in advance. ok. You go buy a decent dress, get your hair done, shoes, and necessaries, and yes, the gift all wrapped up, and you show up earlier to get a good pew or seat, and come early because of crowd or parking.
These virgins did they pray beforehand? Did they go to confession, Holy Communion, did they forgive one another&family? Did they look deeply into their spiritual life to keep them glowing with the Holy Spirit and the Fruits that it gave the others who were prepared.

The foolish virgins were the ones who had no oil. Oil is a 'type' of the Holy Spirit. Christians who have not chosen to experienc the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives are likely to be unprepared when the time comes for them to meet their Maker. It's not enough to have the invitation. You have to be ready.

These are just two examples of how wrong once saved always saved is dead wrong. You are correct that theses are "Christians" who lose their salvation. This is why we must be constantly doing spiritual checkups on ourselves and keep surrounded by people who will tell us when we get off base. We are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling daily. Pray without ceasing, read the Bible daily, listen to God more then we talk so HE may guide us in His ways not ours. We must seek to please God not man at all cost, and at all times.

Introducing some levity into spirituality, didn't you ever hear "good girls go to heaven and bad girls go everywhere"
just kidding, but seriously. In the Lord's Prayer it says "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" Doesn't that mean at judgement, God will turn our own hardened will against us and say "Why couldn't you forgive your cousin who never sent you a Christmas card?"

You are right. There will be Christians that are not ready for Jesus' return to Earth. The other thing you mentioned is also correct. Jesus forgave ALL of our sins. If someone sins against us, we have no right to hold it against him or her, when we ourselves have just been freed from a huge debt. It is our responsibility to pass that grace on to others.

No, that is not about going to hell.
It is alot deeper than that.
The only way a "Christian" can lose their SALVATION is in Hebrews 6.
You have to do 5 Things befor you can Even Lose your Salvation.
Hope this helps.
