How could Christians and Muslim know how atheists feel about death?
For me, I imagine death as how my life was like before I existed. Blank.
Thus, I spend my life experiencing and helping. The only things we have are each other and this little blue-green dot we call home. We need to do our best to preserve both.

Someone asked a simular question last week, quite a few atheist said they did, but quite a few said they didn't too. I guess that in the end it will all boil down to what YOU really believe. As for me, I believe what God said about it. I know that I entered a dimension that I was not aware of once, I was verysick when this happened, my spinal cord was being crushed by my spine and I had no use of my hands or feet and had become incontinent of my bowel and bladder. there was a bridge, it was way up in the middle of the sky it was foggy, very cloudy and peaceful. I remember feeling that crossing that bridge would take me somewhere unknown but better. It was very quiet there, the feelings of peace were so tremendous, I felt that I was going to God if I crossed the bridge too. The bridge was ancient, made of logs of a light amber color, there were no nails it, it was tied together with vines, strong vines of some type. I was on that bridge, and I noticed an arch in the center of the bridge, but could not see past it. I felt the spirit of my son, and I saw him on the bridge, he smiled at me, but he did not want me to come nearer. at that point, I was 72 hours away from death according to the doctors. I was taken to surgery immediately, and now I am like new. Now I am not atheist, and I don't know why my recall went to that memory, but i think I was supposed to share that with you and I hope you are not offended. I believe there is more, because I have also witnessed dieing persons talking to someone who had passed on in their families. the spirit that houses these bodies, goes on into another dimension is what I believe, I have witnessed so much to that affect. However, God said that all souls return to him, and i believe that because every soul was with him, before it was placed in their mothers womb, and recall of that has been erased. I had a glimpse of something ancient, beautiful and peaceful, not of this world on that bridge. No, I was not dreaming.

I am curious as to why you would like to hear Islamic and Christian views of what an atheist might think of death. Wouldn't you be more likely to get reliable information about what an atheist might think from an atheist?
By the way "to late" is an error. You want to write "too late."

They think: "Well, this is it....time to die now."
I am sure they go over all the same issues as a dying Christian...they think about their past, and whether they have accomplished what they wanted in life, and if they have loved people enough during life.
God is love, no matter what religion you subscribe to, which makes me believe that atheists do experience the power of God whenever they love.
They just don't have a name for it, which is okay. I am not an Atheist.
I also think that Christians might have moments of Atheism before death as well. A dying person spends his/her last days going inside themself and distancing themselves from everything worldly. Nobody knows except that person what is taking place in their mind, but I expect that it is the greatest moment of their life....as great as birth.
Seeing my mother die changed my opinion of religion entirely. I have become much more spiritual, but less accepting of large religious movements and big money-making corrupt churches.

Atheists don't think anything of death. It's just something that happens.
Contrary to popular belief, atheists don't suddenly start repenting and asking god for forgiveness when they're on their deathbed. Only religious believers are prone to that sort of thing; an atheist doesn't believe in the afterlife, so why bother?

That death is the end, that there is no more. When you die, you simply die. And I doubt many atheists would seek God as they die, maybe agnostics, but not atheists.

No. I've faced a lot of stuff in the 12 years I've been an atheist.
Let me ask you a question. Christmas Eve, would you write Santa, just in case? Ditto Atheists.

I will NEVER seek god when I die, and I have already faced death more than once, so I know this statement is true.
I will however say this. If, when I die, I find out I've been wrong, I will reject any being that requires my thanks or worship to receive it's reward.
I bow to nothing, man or god. We are all equals.

Why would an athiest start to think when they die? They obviously didn't do it their whole life or they would know there is a God. They will find out how wrong they were at the time of their death.

I dont think it would be too late. Because of the thief that was
being crucified along with Jesus.
Remember that the thief asked Jesus to remember him when he
went to heaven.
And Jesus said he would be with him in paradise.
No time for a lengthy sermon, or baptism for that matter.
Just instant forgiveness...Read Matthew,Mark,Luke John....
Good luck..
