Let me warn you: Do NOT buy ANY dogs online - ESPECIALLY from that puppy mill!
a) THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "TEACUP" ANYTHING!
b) She accepts pay pal/money orders only
c) She has 5 dogs for sale at the same time
d) She is breeding RUNTS to RUNTS to make MORE un-healthy RUNTS
e) She has no policy on selling a small breed dog to a home with children under 13 years of age
f) The only way she sells pups is via a website and by taking close up pictures of puppies in front of a cute background and adds cute little props in her pictures
g) She does not offer a lifetime return guarantee or a lifetime health guarantee
h) Anybody can tell you that you are getting a healthy dog from great bloodlines but can they prove it?
i) She is happy to get her daughter to wear a cute little dress, hold a handbag and stick a small dog in there to make a cute picture

Please find a reputable, CKC registered breeder and never buy a dog online. Ever. No matter how cheap, tempting or cute.

Shipping a puppy is stressful. Small, delicate dogs would have a tough time making the trip from Florida to Canada at that young an age.

Purchasing a puppy from someone online is always an iffy venture, but if you are having a hard time finding th epuppy you want in your area, it may be your only option. Look for a breeder that breeds to the standard, AKC or CKC. Do they show? Do they have multiple litters a year? Do they health test? Do they gaurantee health? Multiple litters(2-3) in the toy breeds would not be surprizing as they usually only have 1-3 pups per litter. Weight should not be a factor in a gaurantee unless the dog is ment for show and there are weight restrictions in the standard. You may be better off looking in your local classifieds.

$1000 is alot of money for a small breed/pet quality puppy. Keep looking, and don't fall for the first sweet face you see.

I would be very suspicious. People who only accept money orders are usually trying to pull something. They don't want any payment that can be traced or blocked. There are lots of other breeders who would find another way to accept your payment. It is also suspicious that they don't offer any sort of refund or discount for puppies who are found to have problems. Everyone knows that occasionally puppies are born with defects which may go undetected in the initial exam and reputable breeders make allowances for that sad possibility.

I would also be very reluctant to have a chihuahua puppy shipped by air. The temperature control in the cargo area is minimal. A larger dog can take the changes without difficulty but chihuahuas don't take well to cold. If the plane encounters turbulence it could be enough to break tiny bones too. They will travel fine if proper precautions are taken but when you're not the one making the arrangements, you can't know until your puppy arrives.

I'm not fond of "teacup" breeds. They really are just runts of normal litters bred with other runts, so they're generally weaker than normal dogs. Canada is a long way for a puppy that small to travel. I'd never get a dog without seeing it first. You can try looking for more local breeders so you can see the dogs first. Or you can go look at a local animal shelter. There are a lot of very sweet dogs at shelters.

Check out some of her references, also call the Better Business Bureau in the town she lives in and see if there have been any complaints, however checking the references is the best assurance you can get and well worth the effort...

Don't do it. I have read way to many horror stories about things like this. I am not even positive she could ship a dog out of the US.

I work in a bank and see all kinds of fraud daily. It is sickening the things people try to pull and what others fall for.

Probably a puppy farm. Lots of bad stuff like inbreeding. Be patient and wait until you find what you want locally so you can meet the breeder and see how the puppy is treated.

First of all, NEVER buy a dog if you have never seen it before! You'll never know if he/she is a good pup. Plus, the ride for the dog to your house will be horrible.
