Yes, but you have to have a valid reason i.e. Family Care plan chapter, Pregnancy chapter...any chapter that is not derogatory will allow you to get out the army on an honorable discharge prior to the end of ur enlistment. Hope this helps.

It is not a federal conviction. You were not read rights? The reserves are not like active duty in that you are a citizen/soldier and spend a great deal of time out of military control. They do not have the myriad options for imposing UCMJ that the Regular Army does. So, they have to resort to other administrative measures to deal with discipline problems. A general under honorable seems about right. You have to be punished because not doing so would send a message that your actions are acceptable (you were an MP NCO so I guess you already know all of this). You do have a DD214 that reflects an honorable discharge. Just saying.

If you are saying that someone wants to find a way to get an honorable discharge, then hopefully not. If they are seeking and then pursue a method by which they can receive an honorable discharge, then they have lied to receive it. Thus, even if it is granted, they will always know that they cheated their government and themselves out of the contract that they had with them. That is not to be confused with the people who get honorable discharges from the active duty before their term is up because of injuries or circumstances outside of their control and there is no shame in that.

An honorable discharge before your EAOS. The only one that comes to mind right now would be a hardship discharge. You'd have to talk to the folks in legal to find out how to qualify for one of those. Another way is if there is an early out offered to certain people during a reduction of forces, but that isn't going to happen any time soon. Almost forgot, there is always medical discharges, but most likely you'd need a permanent disability to qualify for that.

Typical for the Army to even ask this stupid question. Army SUCKS ok! You guys are WEAK & have absolutely NO DISCIPLINE what so ever. Always trying to find a way to get out of things & take the easy way out. Well, you know what. The Military is not going to give you any Honorable Discharge until you FINISH YOUR CONTRACT! So, why don't you be a man about it & FINISH YOUR ACTIVE DUTY. If you can't handle the Military, then why the hell did you join in the first place? IDIOT. Marine Corps will kick your azz. It's all about Marine Corps because we are HARD CORE DEVIL DOGS ....OORAH!

You know what? You signed a contract.

If you don't plan on living up to your end of it, we don't plan on looking at you as 'honorable', ok? An honorable person does what they promised to do.
