I'd ask the opposite question: Why it is so hard for people to consider that there might not be a God? Theists are the majority, not atheists.
Atheists need evidence. If you can provide good evidence, I'm sure you could convert most if not all atheists. Atheists can't takes things on faith.
Many atheists are experts at logical arguments, and could point out flaws if someone says x is evidence for God when it really isn't.
For example: "We can't explain x, therefore God exists and God is the cause of x."
Nope, that's the "appeal to ignorance" or "God of the Gaps". Just because we can't explain it naturally now doesn't mean we never well, and even if we never could, that doesn't mean that God's behind it, that just means we can't figure it out. Just because something's an "Unidentified Flying Object" doesn't mean it's an alien. It's unidentified!
Anyway, I'm an atheist because there is no evidence for God, and because I think that we can live happy and meaningful lives without believing in unsubstantiated and unfalsifiable claims. God and religion seem much more built up from wishful thinking (no offense, but this is what I think), than from truth.
I'm not an atheist because I hate the idea of God or eternal life or because I had a traumatic childhood under fundamentalist parents. I have (more or less) fond memories of church sermons and was hardly indoctrinated at all as a child or pressured into taking a particular metaphysical view. I'm an atheist because theism didn't make sense to me. The Bible's stories, while they could be inspiring, were filled with fantastical elements and didn't represent reality.
I could go on, but I recommend that you read Hemant Mehta's "I Sold My Soul on e-Bay". It's about an atheist who decides to attend x amount of hours of church to the highest bidder in an e-Bay auction, and churchgoing later becomes a hobby for him (although he doesn't convert). It's intended primarily for Christian audiences and is a short and easy read.

As a christian, I don't believe that it's easy to believe there's a God especially when we suffer from injustice, going through trials and tribulations.
If you take a second look at it, you'll realize that you could be an atheist too saying there's no God. You and I believe there's a God is a special grace from God.

Why is it so hard for you to accept that other people look at the world differently than you?You might look around you and see the touch of some divine hand.I look around me and see chance, made all the more beautiful BECAUSE it was not "made that way " by something, but evolved on it's own to fit a niche so perfectly.I see plants and animals that fit their world, until their world changes and they either die off ,or change to compensate.I do not see some mythic being controlling this.If their was,i would expect better behavior out of it than to doom entire species on a whim.

why is it so hard for you to believe that goblins exist?
no evidence whatsoever.
and which god?
Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

They do not believe because they are living in darkness. When you are living in darkness, you cannot see the light, unless something draws you to the light, and satan keeps people in darkness. That may not be the answer that you wanted, but it is just the truth. Just like satan keeps God fearing, bible believing Christians in bondage. Satan is the "prince of this world." We must pray for those people living in darkness.

did it ever occur to you that maybe the majority of us dont believe in YOUR god?!
the help you need is to practice Tolerance...especially religous tolerance.!!
And if you are questioning your chosen belief system, perhaps you need to do a little soul searching as well as research to maybe find what works for you..
Good Luck On this one!
Blessed Be!

NO EVIDENCE! HIGHLY IMPROBABLE TO EXIST! ALMOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT EXIST!
Also, I was born an atheist, as is everyone else, and simply stayed atheist. IT WAS NOT A CHOICE. I just am what I am.
Clear enough for you? Now go off and play or think of better questions...

satan blinds their minds from Birth.
They CAN'T believe in GOD.
Period.
They cannot believe in Spiritual Things either.
(angels, etc.)
GOD Almighty has to push that Blindness Back, and give them a Chance to Accept Jesus as their Saviour.
If they say NO, then they stay Blinded.
If they say YES, they get Born-Again (spiritman recreated) and THEN they Believe in GOD and can Understand Spiritual Things.
Hope this helps.
Ditto..............
