why is this in the dog section anyway?

She needs to meet the guinea pig and talk to its owner.
Guinea pigs can be nervous about being handled if they're not used to it, but they are not escape artists, and I've never heard of them biting anybody.
I used to keep mine in a pen with no top, and sides about one foot high. They don't jump or climb.
If you do get the guinea pig, you should handle it a lot (gently) so that it gets used to you. It will be much more fun that way. Otherwise, let somebody else take it.

I used to have guinea pigs, and they are not super athletic, they are quite sedentary. They never tried to get out. When I took them out they would just chill.
