I think I am gay/bisexual not really sure on that one yet, but I want to convert to a religion that best suits me. I am in the process of conversion to Catholicism, but the rules of the Church discourage me a lot. The reason I started attending the Catholic church was I work every Sunday and the Church offers a Saturday evening Mass. I am also interested in the LDS Church. There is also another church I am interested in, Community of Christ which is the RLDS Church. Could someone give me so advice as to what I should do to find my way?

I am a Catholic, but must say in all honesty that there are other churches out there that may be more gay-friendly. And the LDS church is not known as being overly gay-friendly, either. If you are drawn to the Catholic rites, but want a church that is more accommodating to alternative sexualities, you might consider the Episcopal Church. However, this is not to turn you away from Catholicism. Just realize that your sexuality may be in conflict with Church teachings. On the other hand, I do have any number of friends who are openly gay and attend Mass every week without fail.

do not join LDS...... you will be damned to hell if you are gay...... you must be perfect to be in there church or strive to be perfect. You will not worthy to go in the chapel if you are gay, so what is the point? Being Catholic might be better, but yes the rules might be alot to digest. I say try a non -denom church and see what you think...

You need to find out what you believe. Becoming part of a Church is not like picking out a social club.

The Catholic Church does not teach homosexual or bisexual orientation is sinful. They believe homosexual behavior is sinful.

I've never heard of an LDS church accepting LGBT I live in chicago and know a catholic 'gay' church currently the episcopalian church might split due to the fact that half support gay people and clergy and half don't

Catholicism believe in man and woman multiplying, but i doubt if they dont let you in because of of your sexuality. You might want to talk to a priest before you choose to be catholic, he will help you alot. and you dont even have to show your face.

If you are indeed gay/bisexual, why would you want to join something homophobic? Just have your own beliefs; you don't have to label yourself as a "Catholic" or a "Mormon" or anything else.

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND YOUR WAY TO gOD YOU WONT GO WITH WHAT SUITS YOU BUT WHAT WILL SUIT GOD , YOU HAVE TO GO BY THE BIBLE AND NOT MAKE RELIGION INTO SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL AS IF YOUR LIFESTYLE IS RIGHT. I AM NOT JUDGING YOU FOR ONLY JESUS CAN DO THAT BUT OBEY HIS WORD NOT THE RELIGION THAT MAKES GAY OK.

1.Search for the faith that produces the spirit,presence and power of God

2.I definitely encourage you to stay away from homosexuality

3.I reccomend Christianity.

Catholics are AGAINST homosexuality. I wouldn't recommend that anyone willfully become a catholic. I was one once, and Catholicism all about cash and fear.
