When the Bishop slaps your face, he is supposely awakening the Holy Spirit in you. Most teens making Confirmation are already in tune with the Holy Spirit in their lives. You will also be awaken to your gift. One of the gifts of Holy Spirit.

The Holy spirit is God given it is his spirit that makes us a part of him. The spirit dwells in us when we are saved. The moment we are saved it enters in. The more we seek God in are daily walk the stronger it becomes, directing us and guiding us. It changes the way we think and act about things that happen in our lives. Also our response to the things of God. His spirit also speaks to us and we began to no his voice.
