its coz the water is stagnant which gives a cozy place for the algae 2 develope n grow. they at times grow very dense thet it causes algal bloom

It's probably a shallow pond and light can reach the bottom, therefor causing algae growth. be careful, the algae will gradually over take and cause lots of problems if you have it for fishing purposes. You can clear up the algae by digging it deeper, using the algae treatments, or place carp in the pond. The carp are an algae eater.

Because it has all this green stuff growing in it. Ponds fed by gyzers can be brown, blue or green. It all depends on what is reflecting the light.

It looks red in my village. Because the presence of red algae. The color depends on algae and diatoms presence in that particular pond. Not always green.
