not at all. if you're going because your daughter wants to go and you're going to support her decision, good for you.
as parents, we need to let our children make their own decisions. my parents always told me from day 1 that if i wanted to go to church they would take me, and if i didn't then that was ok too. they let me make up my own mind instead of forcing one belief or another on me.
my parents are atheist but my younger sister wanted to go to church and they took her (my mom would just sit in back with a book during the service)
that said, you could look into the unitarian church which has a much more liberal stance on things.

Just understand that whether you realize it or not, you are influencing your child's life either for good or for bad. Children learn from what they see and hear. During the first 5 years of a child's life, the biggest influence is their parents. After that, it becomes their friends. The fact that your child is asking you about church should be a wake up call to you. Why not try going, and seeing what the Bible really has to say on certain issues and why? If nothing else, think of your daughter.

Actually, I belong to a Christian church yet, I also support such issues, ie pro choice, gay marriage, etc. I take my 5 year old and we both are very active at the church. I don't discuss my views unless for some reason they would come up, but they don't. We just really enjoy the people and enjoy the activites that are there. We enjoy learning about God and also learning from the Bible. God knows how I feel about such issues and he seems to love me anyway.....

There are many churches that support gay rights and a woman's right to choose. Go to a Unitarian church (or any of the progressive Christian denominations). Try the Episcopal Church. There are a number of groups to choose from that will accomodate your beliefs. See if there's a Unity church near you (they're different from the Unitarians).

I would go. Sometimes you have to go with your gut feelings, and if your 5 year old is wanting you your family to go to church, maybe there is something to that. Definitely consider it. You will find some great people at church who will surprisingly not be judgmental. The ones who are, are probably the fake ones anyhow. Look for real people.

many Episcopal churches will welcom you and your belief set. The current presiding bishop is a woman, and the bishop of New Hampshire is an openly gay man, which has spurred institutional and international conversation about the subject of homosexuality.

Go if you want to, knowing that you don't want to raise those issues. You will hear the Bible point of view in most churches and you already know that..
Church is open to anyone though..

Take your child if she wants to go or make arrangements so she can go. She may want to go just to spend time with her friends, or there may be a longing in her for something that is available to her there emotionally or spiritually. Even at 5.

There are progressive groups like some Unitarian Universalists and others who support our social choices. Why not try to find one of those?

No, it is not wrong for you to go to church. Plus, your child needs to be exposed to different enviroments.
