The word "bull" has two meanings in English with two entirely different etymologies. One, of course, is the male bovine from Old English bulluc "young bull" later bullock "a castrated steer." (Novillo in Spanish).

The other meaning means a "seal" or "sealed document" from Latin bulla. This is the source of the word bull- in 'bullshit,' unfortunately for the animal. Please see "bull" definition #3 in the web link below where it says that "bullshit'' is an alteration of the expression "to shoot the bull."

There is also something in the Catholic Church related to this called a "Papal bull," - "a special kind of patent or charter issued by a Pope." --- Wikipedia. If interested, please see web link below:

Mostly, bovine scatology is bigger. So if someone is full of Bull shid that is because it is a greater amount than say rabbit crap. Rabbit crap looks like a bunch of chocolate/ green pellets. Very similar to, but smaller than deer crap. Now horse crap, is the same basic form of rabbit crap but much bigger. The road apples generally are around cue ball size but not as nice looking or smelling. Bull and cow, now theres a real pile of crap. Cowpies are typically around 12 inch diameter, circular and approximately and inch or so thick. When dried, these actually make a decent camp fire. When I was a kid, we would practice with our rifles on cowpies. I believed for a long time that I invented the term "shooting the shid."

So all in all, it could be a compliment to say you are full of bull shid because it is a more prominent size and most people realise it for what it is. Hope this helps.

I agree one hundred%. even as someone says its the perfect track ever, Then its an opinion, regardless of what everyone else believes or has the same opinion on. I trust the Foo fighters are a great band, yet someone who likes The Ramones might want to not agree. Its all of your human being opinion. BQ: Vocals: Anthony Kiedis, Kurt Cobain. Guitarist: Synyster Gates, Eddie VH, Dave Grohl. Bassist: Flea. Drummer: Travis Barker. Band: Blink 182, upward thrust hostile to, Avenged Sevenfold.

Bullsh!t's not really that "special"... Horsesh!t, Chickensh!t and just plain Sh!t - are all perfectly good alternatives. Then there's Poo and Merde for the upper classes.

The B makes a nice popping sound that gets more attention than the other animal names. Shows your frustration better.

Well, we spend more time around bulls than around donkeys or monkeys.

And cow pies are huge, man.
