I have been indoor tanning for about 10 years now. I am 47 but no one ever guesses my age to be over 35. I could just be blessed with good genes but I have found this is a lot less damaging to my skin than the natural sun in South Florida (which is particularly brutal). For most people I would not recommend it because it does damage the skin just as badly as the real sun. It all depends on how good you take care of your skin before and after tanning and what products you use in the tanning salon.
You may show signs as early as right away to your twenties. It does not take long to damage your skin. it is exposure, just like any kind of exposure to the elements it will show up more the more you do it. So, it would depend on the frequency also.
Again, I would not recommend it to anyone. It is just a personal choice I have made.

You'll notice fine wrinkles on your face. Around 20 years - certainly by 25.

It depends on several factors, such as your fitzpatrick scale how long you stay in the bed. The strength of the bed etc. It is actually healthy to get in the tanning bed for about 5-7 mins 1-2/wk.

i`ve been tanning indoors for more than 15 years now, year-round...but, i`ve been very diligent with my skin-care regimen, & many people comment that i look 15 years younger than my actual age!!! i`m not saying that i don`t have any wrinkles, because i have very fine laugh lines, but i think these are natural as u age anyways, & just shows that i`ve enjoyed my life!!! so, i think if u take care of your skin while tanning, it goes a long way to preserve a youthful look!!!

The truth is as soon as your walk out of the tanning booth, the tan itself is the direct damage to exposure.
