I think I do not so you can get away with things and not get punished but just because life seems so much more complicated to figure it all out in one life. I just wanna know what other people think about the idea.

I do but I sure can't see how it affects my daily life. I mean, sure, I'd like to build up good karma, yada yada, but I can strive for that without ever believing in reincarnation - so I can't credit a belief in reincarnation for making me act better. It's like I was right before I stopped believing in God altogether - the belief is meaningless but I'll gladly tell you "yes I believe" if asked. And look, you did just ask.

Also, when I say "good karma yada yada" I'm not diminishing the value of good karma, I would simply point out that that IS, much more than good rebirth, the objective, the goal we seek to achieve. Punishment and reward are in the here and now.

That's just my opinion, though. Good luck.

First off let me start by telling you where I am coming from. I am not a religious person I am a deist which means I believe that there is a creator.

That said, I don't know if reincarnation happens or if it only happens in some cases. I know that some religions don't believe it happens at all, some think only bad people get reincarnated and some believe bad people come back as lower forms of life.

My own beliefs about what happens after death would take some time to explain. If you want to know more contact me otherwise I don't wish to bore anyone.

I do believe in it. I can't say that I'm 100% certain, but it is my belief. I think it makes sense, and I've also seen evidence in the form of childhood memories of a past life that turn out to be amazingly accurate. I think of all the afterlife theories, it makes the most sense and is more compassionate than consigning one to hell after one life of error.

But we should not take this life any less seriously just because we believe there may be another. We have control over this one only right now. So we ought to do the best we can with it.

I will say this much. Hindus and those who do believe in reincarnation are horrified at the thought of being reincarnated. It means they have to go through life's struggle and death all over again.
I have always wisecracked if I come back I want to know then what I know now. But that is not what people who believe in reincarnation believe. They say you have to start all over and make the same mistakes and go through struggles again and again. That is why they don't want to be reincarnated. Forget about the silly stuff Shriley MacLaine wrote about.

I find the idea of reincarnation (meaning that we have lived previous lives as other human beings) impossible to accept. If we had lived previous lives that we are supposed to learn from we should be able to remember these lives, right? But I and no one I have ever spoken to can remember anything about another life. A life is all about memories, and if we have no previous memories than there is no previous life to speak of. Indeed, people who suffer from multiple personalities are considered ill and are sent to the hospital - it is not considered natural. So if there is no evidence, why believe in it?

I, as a Christian, do not believe in reincarnation..
I really don't find life to be hard to figure out, I just live by Gods Word...

Rose, I DO believe in reincarnation. However, I do not close out possibilities that perhaps, we are "looped" into our lives, set to play life out over and over and over and over......till God determines we have gotten it right.

So....if this theory (and that's ALL it is, mind you) holds true, then I'll be sitting here, running the next life's course....and you'll be awaiting my answer to THIS question.....unless either you and/or I one---DO get "it" right.

No, because the bible does not teach it. It teaches that the soul is immortal, and where we end up in eternity is a result of either accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.

I do. I believe we bring a piece of each life we go through with us. To teach us lessons in the next one/s we go through. If we were rich in a past life we will be poor in this one, if we were a slave in the last we will be a boss in this one. If we dont like someone in this life maybee they were the ones who hurt you in your last one etc. Hope this is of some help. Blessed be.

Yes. I believe we have to experience life and death in many different ways for our soul to evolve. Hard to explain....that's the best I can do.
I do not believe however that humans are reborn as bugs, or animals. Just human souls are reborn to humans again.
