One reason would be the intense resentment of other countries toward US. The Imperialistic attitude, the planting of US military bases and the refusal to listen to other countries is putting US in danger. This would coincide with the curious messages of disaster preparedness being urged by govt bodies and their concern with over-population.

There really isnt a rush to leave... America is still the most popular place to live in, despite anything because we are still Free. Our taxes are not incredibly high (*COUGH BRITIAN COUGH*) and we dont have our Government siding with people who are willing to shell out some cash for a vote in the UN (*COUGH FRANCE COUGH*)

Plenty of people are dying to come into our country, and not many are dying to leave. I say if they want to leave and go somewhere else, they can go and hopefully they will live dirty lives in the filthiest ditches of the world. Then maybe they will appreciate what our nation truely is. The most american place on earth, were liberty and justice still stand for all!

Actually our problem is the opposite. We have people willing to break the law to come here. If people want to leave b/c of Bush, Pelosi, Clinton, Cheney, or whoever, I say go already. I am still a proud citizen and grateful that I live here.

I decided to remain abroad because having tried to return after studying abroad, I found it very difficult to re-integrate into American society. Many of the other Americans living here feel the same.

However, the vast majority of us remain patriotic and would not give up our American citizenship. And we remain very active in the American community in this country.

Wasn't it 20 desperate Haitians today that were killed when their boat capsized as they were trying to make it to our shores? God bless them, trying to escape that terrible tyranny and relentless poverty. Would you like to trade citizenships with one of them? I'm sure they would GLADLY accept.

You need to learn to appreciate how incredibly blessed you are to live in this country and stop degrading it. Liberals love America like O.J. loved Nicole.
