Sea Bees specialize in construction and can be called upon to perform their duties in a hostile environment, but as a rule they aren't used as ground troops. The only way I know of that you'd be assigned to an infantry unit while in the Navy is to become a Corpsman, they are routinely assigned to Marine Corps units, but their main job isn't fighting, it's saving lives.

The Navy had a proposition to have a Naval Infantry units about 3 years ago, but there hasn't been much movement on it. So far the only new combat type units that have been organized are the Riverine Warfare squadrons. This is the Navy going back to the brown water Navy units of the past. These units are being trained for the same type of combat roles as was used in Vietnam. The first squadron has already completed training and been sent to Iraq. The Riverine Warfare units take volunteers from all rates, from Master-At-Arms to engineman. I believe that after training all members of the unit qualify for Combat craft crewman, or SWCC (Special warfare craft crew). The training is arduous and intense. From most of the news reports those that volunteer have enjoyed the training and are ready for action.

While not direct action units, Seabees seem to get some action from time to time....I'm guessing since they are forward and building for the Marine Corps. Also, the Navy has just started standing up Civil Affairs units...once again, not exactly direct action...but these type of units will always be near some type of fighting and not always in the rear...and last but not least. EOD units tend to find themselves near the fight, too...recently a EOD team from EODMU 11 was wiped out in a firefight with insurgents......

properly, you should connect the army first. they are not extra water based than land based. they're knowledgeable in the two. It relies upon on what theater you're in. There are SEALS in Afghanistan and Iraq precise now. In South u . s . and Indonesia. in case you pick to examine the coaching in contact, p.c.. up Lone Survivor by skill of Marcus Lattrell.
