Don't listen to these holier-than-thou BUMS who think they're so hot 'cause they've got lame-a$$ "jobs"...they're probably more miserable as that kid in the movie "Office Space".
Go down to your County Dept. of Unemployment and ask THEM where to apply. Odds are, it's right across the hall. If not, they'll tell you. And DON'T let any of those Civil Service hags make you feel lousy, because you're down on your luck...remember, none of them has had sex in 20 yrs!
Do what you gotta do for YOU and YOUR FAMILY...nobody...I mean NOBODY ELSE matters! You'll get on your feet...so don't worry!
By the way...this place is probably NOT the best place to come for warm fuzzies and guidance! Most people here can be pretty uppity! Good luck to you!
Hey..."wytepower": YOUR "answer" BLOWS! Could you be any more insulting? Yeah, I'm sure you COULD! Way to hit somebody when they're DOWN! Piece of FILTH!
And that chick who asked why this is in the "religion section"...don't you know that almost ALL questions on this stupid forum end up in the religion section? I don't know who runs this joint, but it sure ain't a robot! SOMEbody's got a BIG agenda.

You would go to your local Division of Family and Children's office where they help you with medical insurance and food stamps. They will also help you with job training if you want it.

hmm...this question has been posted by two different people from the same city/state. Also, why would both posters put this under the religion section?
Anyway....same answer as the other....

MAN! there are some really NASTY people out there! Those who said "get a job" or called you a "bum"! Forget THEM! I hope they all get fired and end up in your shoes. Anyway, looks like most people preferred to help you rather than trash you. I support you!

Contact a county or state social service agency, they should be able to direct you to the appropriate office.
