"Big & Lots" has furniture for cheaper prices, although their selection is rather limited. "Wal-Mart" may be another option. Some department stores (Target comes to mind) have patio-furniture that can be used indoors which still look pretty decent as far as dining-room furnishings go. Patio-furniture is often cheaper than standard indoor furniture. Flea-Markets & yard sales are another idea.

You can try the small scale "mom&pop" type places because they want your business to keep going they may be willing to make a deal. They say Living spaces has good prices but I've never been to one of their two stores. Check the ads that come in your mail. Any "holiday" is a good time for stores to have sales, and if you aren't looking for new, there are some very nice items in our local Goodwill. of course all you'd need to do is buy a new mattress and bingo! You got a brand new bedroom. Check out the ads in the Pennysaver too on Wednesdays. people are always selling stuff from quick divorce, or separation or moving and the stuff is too big for the apartment. I'm in the IE and I wish you good luck.

Try the local thrift shops. You can usually find better quality in their used pieces than you could afford new. They may need some TLC, but they're worth it. Also, we have an excellent used furniture store in Toledo. His prices are comparable to the thrift stores.
