Easy, there is no "love at first sight" sweetie...it's lust/attraction. Think about it. How can someone feel romantic love toward a total stranger they know nothing about? Puh-leez...
What is felt is an attraction, that may or may not grow into love over time...if it does, the couple looks back and remembers that they dug each other from the moment they set eyes on the other, and so call that "luv"...
That's fairy tales...the idea that romantic love could really work that way, just degrades the concept of love...

I think it's two different things. I don't believe in love at first sight. You may lust at first sight, but you can't love someone you don't know. Plain and simple. Love being blind is true in a way, but you could also say love is in the eyes of the beholder.

Love at first sight is really lust at first sight. Love is much more than anything you can get out of a person in 5 seconds...maybe 5 months. My husband and I are going on 5 years and I feel like my feelings for him even a year ago are nothing like they are today.
Besides, its all figurative speech...dont they teach that in 4th or 5th grade?

Love at first sight is a total joke.
It's stupid.
Love IS blind and love takes time.
You can see the love of your life right in front of your eyes and not even know it.

Once you fall head over heels at first sight, you are then struck blind to all his faults and bad habits until your honeymoon is over.

They both are just sayings. I don't believe either one is true.
Love is a very complicated emotion. It just doesn't happen by seeing someone that appeals to you. True love invovles getting to know the person.

Oh, finally someone here made me laugh tonight. Thanks! This play on words reminds me of another one by the late comedian and author Erma Bombeck: "If life is a bowl of cherries, why am I always in the pitts?" lol
