It just means she's beginning puberty now. My 7 year old is going through the same thing. From what I've read so far, the puberty everybody thinks about (periods, hair growth) is about 2-3 years away.

I bought her some deodorant, and filled her in on what will be going on (the summary version), and I'm just (reluctantly) waiting for the training bra phase now. :)

It means she is going through puberty now. She needs to be evaluated by a pediatrician. Due to the hormones in the beef, chicken, milk etc. girls are starting puberty earlier. But 7 is early even by the new standards.

I actually read an article about this a few years ago, and what it said was that body odor and increase in chest size are getting younger, but that the age of menses is not. My daughter had those two symptoms for 3-4 years before menses.

It may not be related to when she'll go through puberty. She's a bit young to do that yet, in any case.

Meanwhile, she needs to be taught to use anti-perspirants.

As a girl I had to tell my friend she had BO cause her mom didn't teach her when she needed to know this and it really hurt our friendship, but I told her because I cared about her and didn't want her embarassed by someone being rude to her in public because she smelled so bad. I told her in private and she got mad at me for a LONG time.

sounds like an overactive thyroid and there are medications to take to delay puberty until a later age see a specialist.

it means that the child needs to be taught about hygeine. this should have been done long before age 7. if you need further help, contact the pediatrician.

good chance yes. A simple blood test can check her hormone levels to see wether she is yet. It is not unheard of for 8 year olds
