The correct answer would be faith; however, since you do not believe in God, I will give you some information.
First is that many teams, including National Geographic teams, found many records of things happened in Bible. Many Biblical sites were found using Bible to locate the lands. Common but rarely notice thing is calendar: It has seven days in a week which indicates the seven days of creation that God has made the heavens and earth, God rested on the seventh day and Christians rest and worship on sunday( or The Lord's Day), monday is on the first day of the week because Jesus rose from the death on the first day of the week. These are just few information.

They are all tales every single one of them each attempting to describe with human words what cannot be described in human terms. It is trancendent of all human thought and speach. Every single tale every sinlge myth was and is an attempt to describe the trancendent.
The software is ALL different but the hardware the human brain is the same. You will find in every single tale fundemenatal simalarities that simply cannot be ignored. They are all at there roots exaclly the same because there all written for the same hardware.
You are looking at the cultural differances but he miracle is there all the same. So you are correct they are worshiping the same God. God never changed he/SHE was in every bible ever written. WE have changed the software. The hardware hasnt changed very much.

As people who believe in God and follow His revelations, let us rally to a common formula - "faith". Let's love God, Who is our Creator and Lord, and follow His commands. And let us pray God to lead us to an even straighter path. When Muslims, Christians and Jews rally to a common formula this way; when they understand that they are friends not enemies, when they see that the real enemy is atheism and paganism, then the world will become a very different place. The fighting that has raged for ages, enmities, fears - and terrorist attacks - will come to an end, and a new civilization based on love, respect and peace will be established upon this "common formula".

Since the beginning of written history, our ancestors have told us that God exists. The oldest records in existence are to that point, and docuement both our belief, and misbelief when we worshipped idols.
Today, well over a billion people attest that God exists, hundreds of thousands will testify to personnal experience that proved this is true. You can follow a few atheists, or you can listen, and if you listen and look, then you will believe.
God will, and does, reveal himself to us, one way, or another, when we seek Him.
So, how do you know God exists? Seek Him out. Go find Him, and dont quit until you do. Whatever it takes. If men worked half as hard to find God as they did trying to prove he does not exist, your question would never need to be answered.

You are wasting your time. Challenging the believers of producing proof of God's existence will never mean to you. So why do you patheticaly join the forces of those who have the same question centuries ago?
If you do not believe so be it.
Stay away from those who believe and you will be part of people making things peaceful on earth. Keep your mouth shut and do your own business you might even get rich than spending your time pretending to be intelligent. Real intelligent people are busy inventing things for the progress of humanity and not wasting time on answers you will never agree with.

I don't have anything concrete that I could show you. There's nothing written that could convince you. It is, as you say, my belief. I guess that's why I am not militant or evangelical about it. My beliefs work for me. They may not work for you. Therefore, I respect others' beliefs and hope that they'll do the same for me. Your question is a good one -- my concept of God isn't traditional, so I haven't substituted, but rather encompassed. Like you, I don't take the Bible literally. There is a difference between a belief in God (something spiritual greater than oneself) and religion. Religion is man-made for man's purposes. Does this help any? I hope so.

first i will give you my proof. two men , equal in every way , fish in a river. they use the same poles , the same string , the same hooks , tie there knots the same way and use the same bait . they fish side by side in the same hole . one man catches his limit . the other does not even get a bite . luck you say . the will of god i say . to the question of how to know who HE is . the bible to the best of my knowledge is the only religious text that has prophesied events thousands of years ago that have taken place in the last few hundred years . anyone with a fare amount of common since can predict with a fare amount of accuracy events that will take place within there lifetime or shortly after , but to predict things thousands of years in advance , this is to the best of my knowledge scientifically and mathematical impossible .

The first time that I asked god for proof of his existance was when I was up against 4 mexicans in the middle of a field, off the side of the railroad tracks, about 5 miles from any house or town. they wanted to rape me,. when one had grabbed me by my arm, and another one grabbed my other arm, I looked up to the sky, and I asked God ,, If you are real, prove it, get me out of this,, well you know what? I got away, and I was not raped. there are more details, but that is all I needed to tell you for the most part. you will find the truth one day, I did, in more ways then this.. many more.. but you are open to your own beliefs. and if god didnt exist, then I must have one powerful mind to do the other things that happened, to each their own..

Well, just reading the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price did not convince me that there is a God. Actually, obedience to the commandments put me in the position for divine inspiration. The Holy Ghost cannot dwell in any unclean human tabernacle of flesh and bone. Sin makes us unclean. So when I repented and became clean I was open to the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life. I read the scriptures and I prayed to know whether or not they are really God's words. I felt the Holy Spirit fall upon me. The feeling was a sweet sense of peace...peace of mind, peace of heart, peace of spirit. I felt all warm and comfortable inside. I felt like at that moment anything could happen and I would still be happy. My eyes were open to the truth of life. I felt intelligence, pure intelligence, flowing into my mind in these flashes of insight into things that previously confused me. The feeling was almost unbearable and I just had to cry. It was so cathartic. All of these emotions started coming out. My body began trembling. I couldn't contain the tears. I felt so good. Tears of joy streamed down my face. I never felt this way before. I knew that I was feeling the Holy Ghost at that time. I knew that because I had kept the commandments, I was being blessed by this divine witness for the authenticity of the Book of Mormon, the Bible and the other scriptures. I felt the love of God and it felt soooo good. I can't explain exactly how I felt. This experience is so personal to me. I will never forget it. I hope that you experience it to, but remember, the Holy Ghost cannot enter into you if you are unclean because of sin.

You are missing the point about religion. It is not about belief but faith. I have no proof that God exists. I have faith that he does. The way I look at it, it costs me nothing to be wrong, it costs an atheist everything to be wrong. Now, don’t take this the wrong way. I have never nor would I ever push religion on anyone. In fact, I am not religious. I never go to church and I never will. I believe churches are inherently corrupt and misled. That dose not mean I do not believe in God or follow a good life. The whole point of this is not to prove God exists but to have faith that he does. After all, can anyone prove he dose not exist?
