OEM is perfectly legal to buy as long as you purchase it along with a system necessity such as a mouse or keyboard. Most OEM reseller pass on a broken mouse or something to get round this rule.

OEM are much cheaper as they don't have the retail packaging (they just come in a cardboard box). You will get a COA sticker for your computer and the XP will be 100% genuine.

Always stick with trusted online retailers like Amazon when buying software as there is lots of fakes and pirate copies going around.

Also note that the OEM license is not transferable between computers like the retail license is. Once you have activated on one computer that's it for life. When the computer dies the license goes with it.

Original Equipment Manufacture
Meaning these are only licenced when supplied with a new PC, such as Dell, HP etc.
Even though you CAN use it to install on any PC, but deep down you are breaking the licensing agreement it set out originally.

without the surely COA for the precise version of homestead windows you've put in, the reproduction isn't criminal. so so long because the disc comes with the COA, you'd be positive. without the COA you wont have the foremost necessary to position in it.
