I've never heard such a thing. Personally I don't. But I don't even like singing the hair on my finger when I get too close to a hot burner so you can see where cremation would be a turn off.

I prefer cremation, but I'm not averse to a burial, as long as it's done without any ridiculous superstitious rituals accompanying. I'd like a "green" burial, with no embalming, in a biodegradable cardboard coffin, so as my remains decompose, they'll provide something useful for a little while, for the worms and flowers.

I do. Less money and space taken up by cremation and the body is returned faster to nature because there are no artificial preservatives keeping it more intact. Better for the environment.

my family disagrees but i feel like if there is anything still working give it to someone who needs it & burnthe rest I have signed my organ donor card and it just seems to me that there might not be much left and it will be quicker to cremate me and bury me where I want to be .... not in a cemetary

Probably. But with things the way they are today, I think the most worthwhile 'use' of one's corpse after death is to donate it to science, whether for research or to be used to train new doctors. That way you can help save lives even after death, and what could be more worthwhile than that? :)

I'm going to be buried so that my body may nourish the earth and help continue the cycle of life.

I do...

It's efficient and space-saving. I'm more of an environmentalist than I am a hopeless romantic, so I don't think a monument over my dead remains ought to clutter up the world for everyone else. LOL
