And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Yes someone who turns to GOD to forgive his sins and believes in JESUS is saved.

Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. [verses taken from kjv]

John 1:11[kjv] He came unto his own, and his own received him not.12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Acts 16:31[kjv] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

That is not scripture. The Bible teaches to repent, be baptized in Jesus' Name, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. See Acts 2:38

Could you please show me in the bible where is tell you to pray a prayer of repentance for salvation? Nowhere in the New Testament church do you see anyone sayin "if you want to be saved, repeat this prayer". Repentance is the first step.
You must follow up with baptism in Jesus Name.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

of course they would be accepted

but it would be wrong-headed to think they would be accepted forevermore

they would be accepted as long as they followed Christ's footsteps closely, living their life according to his example and doing the will of his Father:

being a true Christian is to follow the example of Christ (1 Peter 2:21; John 13:15; 1 John 2:6) including all the things he taught his Apostles to write for our instruction (2 Timothy 3:16)

Yhshua/Jesus warned that there would be many false christians, claiming to believe in him yet not doing the will of his Father. And that there would only be a few *true* Christians doing the will of his Almighty Father YHWH/Jehovah (see Matthew 7:13-23)

So what did Christ do that we must do in order to be *true* Christians?

1. Pray to and serve "the only true God" (see John 17:3) the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (see Acts 3:13) whose name is YHWH

Matthew 22:37/Deuteronomy 6:5
Matthew 14:23
Mark 1:35
Mark 6:46
Mark 14:32
Luke 6:12
Matthew 6:9
John 20:17
John 17:1-5
John 5:19
John 14:28
Mark 10:18
Matthew 26:39
John 8:17-18
Mark 13:32
Matthew 20:23
Matthew 3:17

2. love everyone (see Matthew 22:39; Mark 12:31) and never harm or kill another human being
see also;
Matthew 5:44-48
Matthew 26:52
Luke 6:27
Luke 10:27
John 13:34, 35
John 15:17
1 Peter 2:23
1 Peter 3:9
Romans 12:17
Romans 13:10
2 Timothy 2:24
1 Corinthians 16:14
1 John 3:9-15
1 John 4:20

3. Preach YHWH's Kingdom which He has appointed His only-begotten Son Yhshua to rule over
see;
Matthew 24:14
Luke 4:43
Luke 10:1-3
Acts 5:42
Acts 8:4
Acts 20:20
1 Corinthians 9:16
Romans 10:15
2 Timothy 4:2-5
Matthew 4:23a
Matthew 9:35a
Luke 9:6a
1 Peter 2:21

4. be "no part of the world" of human kingdoms/governments/politics
see;
John 18:36
Daniel 2:44
Luke 4:5-8
James 4:4
John 15:19
John 17:14
Acts 5:29
1 John 2:15
Romans 12:2
John 14:30
2 Corinthians 4:4
Ephesians 2:2
1 John 5:19

5. Yhshua said that many false christians would be identified because they would not be doing the will of YHWH (Matthew 7:21)
So we must be careful not to mix traditions, rituals and festivals originally designed for false pagan Roman gods into our worship of the only true God.
See (and note that everywhere it says LORD is where Christ‘s Father‘s name YHWH/Jehovah used to be);
Deuteronomy 12:30
Exodus 34:15
Deuteronomy 20:18
Deuteronomy 8:19
Deuteronomy 13:13
Deuteronomy 18:10-13
Deuteronomy 32:16
Judges 2:3
Jeremiah 7:17-20
Acts 7:41-43

naturally, no one would ever follow the above examples of Christ if they did not believe and put faith in the fact that he was sent by his Almighty Father YHWH as our only means of salvation. One must accept and believe and have faith that Yhshua was sent by YHWH as our savior.

agape!

It would be like an advertisement on tv that might be interesting at first, but the more they play it, the more annoying it gets until people don't even want to try the product anymore. To a non-believer, the Christian message is just one amongst countless others that they are bombarded with every day. Keeping in mind that the Christian message makes the incredible claim that a man who lived 2000 years ago gave everyone eternal life (if they believe the story), people naturally file it away under the 'incredible claims' category alongside the washing liquid that removes 'any stain' and the conspiracy and UFO stories we read about. When the story is repeated, either positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement will occur.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

If you are sincere, I recommend that you simply ask the Lord and savior Jesus Christ to reveal himself unto you. There is no since of repenting if you have no idea of who he is and that he even knows who you are. Yeah, I know everybody thinks that they know Christ but they don't. First, seek him and try to build a personally relationship with him. Allow him to reveal himself unto you. Afterwords, if you are lead to repentance then feel free to repent. From my personal relationship, I can argue that Christ will never point out your sins to you. I say this because once you learn how good and great Christ is, this alone will lead you into repentance. Until the day he does reveal himself unto you, I recommend that you read the book of luke focusing on learning more about Christ.

A broken and a contrite heart will not be neglected by our Lord.He died that not one would perish. His love for the lost is so great that He would have sent His Son Jesus to die just for this one "non-believer" should he repent. Then he should desire baptism, not to be saved more, but because he is saved already through the Blood of Jesus. Then he would want to be baptized as our Lord commanded, "..in the name of the Father, and of the Son,and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: ..." Matthew 28:19b-20a.God question, may God bless.

And for my friend Southern,David said "Create in me a clean heart,O God; and renew a right spirit within me" Ps 51:10.It is not possible for man to create a heart that is penitent and sorry for his sins.Through our Lords great mercy we our called and the stony heart is removed and a tender heart is put in its place. One that desires to be forgiven.

Yes. Only God knows what is in the hearts of men. If the are truly sorry, God will know. And if the are repentant they will have a change in their heart as well, and follow in the foot steps that Jesus laid as a example.

If the Holy Spirit draws you and convicts you of your sins, and you freely confess your sins before God, repent and ask for forgiveness in Jesus name, you will be saved. It is that simple.

yes, I don't see why not. I don't think God performs a background check to see if you were Atheist before you became a believer. God accepts all those who have faith in him and repent.
