I live in Australia and I have never heard of a corndog, what is it?

A corndog is a hot dog (frankfurter) dipped in cornmeal and deep-fried, served on a stick. It is a summertime favorite in the US, especially at fairs and things, and is often dipped in ketchup or mustard. I used to like them a lot before I became a vegetarian. Thjey are one of those foods that you love because it's just so terrible.

The corndog is on the right. I can't figure out what the heck is on the left. I presume a bowl of chili, but it looks more like gruel.

It's a hot dog on a wooden stick dipped in batter and deep fried golden brown. Yummy with some mustard!!!

Father k has it right. They're pretty good with mustard but a real hotdog on a bun is better.

It's a hotdog on a stick, and they are sooooo yummy...they are dipped in cornbread batter...great...You guys don't know what your missing....I can't believe you don't have any....I really feel for you.
