to me it seems silly to plain doubt the existence of one. we understand too little about what makes our minds tick, about the universe, or anything. we study the brain through MRI's. meanwhile like 90% of the universe is made of matter we can't find, don't understand, or anything.
so overall, in maybe a couple million years if scientists say there is no god, i might ignore my gut and intuition for long enough to listen. until then, i can't help but think there's more to existence than a dead consciousness that becomes nothing more than dust, just like i wouldn't presume my spiritual beliefs are any more true than someone else's. by that i mean... jihad? nonsense.
(& i can't knock agnostics, but i will say it seems kind of arrogant to assume what we know so little of, and what historically so many of found true.)

truth is universal, no matter what you call it.
and.. for any philosophers that answer.. cleverness is no substitute for truth or sincere argument.

you can't prove something that doesn't exist, but can you disprove something you're unsure of? and if you're absolutely sure there's no "supernatural", you're much smarter than anyone i've ever heard of in school..
i believe there is more to existence than cells. god may be too strong a word, but there's lots of energy, and i don't think it's too hard to believe this energy can have an intelligence, and can affect our puny physical.

also, about physics, psychology, chemistry, etc.. our understanding of any of those fields is too incomplete. a relatively silly finding could totally change any of those fields -- especially physics. calling "god" magic because no one understands it is as silly as many sciences must have seemed in the middle ages. chemistry must have been witch craft..

There's more than enough proof, scientific and otherwise, of the existence of God. Atheists are simply in denial.
Albert Einstein wrote in his book "The World As I See It" that the harmony of natural law "Reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection."
He went on to write, "Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe--a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble."
A very significant statement, wouldn't you say?
But the most incontrovertible proof God exists is no other than Jesus Christ, the Word of God who became flesh and the REVEALER of God. Jesus was sent by his Father not only to redeem mankind. He was also sent to prove God exists. What human can …
Silence a typhoon?
Walk on water?
Multiply a few loaves of bread and fish in order to feed a multitude of 5,000?
Bring back dead people to life?
Give sight to people born blind?
Change water into wine?
Rise from the dead?
These miracles prove beyond any reasonable doubt that God exists. They demonstrate Christ's power over life and death and the forces of nature. Only a person empowered by God can have such powers.
And if these miracles were just made up, Christianity would not have grown rapidly in the first century. His disciples would not have risked their lives for a bunch of lies. But more than anything else, it was the resurrection of Jesus, which convinced the early Christians to stand for their faith. The resurrection of Jesus could not be silenced because more than 500 people saw his resurrected body. (1 Corinthians 15,6)
Peace and every blessing!

The first clue that you were basing your argument on a logical fallacy should have been the use of a double negative in you question. As I am sure you will hear several time before I am finished posting, let me reiterate to you that logically, an absence of evidence does not prove anything. To prove something, you actually need evidence FOR your argument. Atheists argue that since they are unable to as yet find any evidence which necessitates the existence of a supreme being, there is no reason to assume such a being exists. If such a being does not exist, there cannot be evidence that it does not exist, just as there is no evidence that our 2nd moon does not exist, despite no one having seen it. It's just an absence of evidence that it does exist. See how that worked?
Anyway, buck up. If God does exist, he doesn't want you to have any evidence anyway. You see, if you had evidence that he existed, then you wouldn't need to have faith. Faith would cease to be a factor in human life, and recognizing God would simply be a matter of education. Since we know (or believe) that God rewards those faithful in him, we can deduce that he could therefore never let any evidence of his existence be discovered.
In the future, punctuation would be great help to those of us answering you kinda rambling steam-of-consciousness questions. You may also help taking the time to do this helps to organize your thoughts. Thank you.

I agree! Cleverness of language is no substitute for truth...
However, Science and phillosophy are not guilty of quick words, puns, and hyperbole that is claimed as truth.
You should also speak for yourself. Maybe you don't know enough about the world and the universe. We may not know everything...but we know enough to understand how the world works. And magic is not involved in the laws of physics, and chemistry, the theorems of geometry, theories of genetics, nor psychology, etc.
Just because you have not read enough about the sciences that we know of, doesn't mean that others haven't.

As others have pointed out, there are all sorts of notions that one can not fully disprove, such as invisible pink unicorns. That doesn't mean I should be open to the possibility.
If somebody claims that there are invisible pink unicorns in my driveway, I'm still not obligated to believe him. The guy has to either show me the unicorns, or stop wasting my time.
Further more, saying "a big invisible man is behind it" still begs the questions of how he does it, under what conditions, how it manifests, etc. In short, bringing deity into the picture doesn't answer anything.

Prove that God exists. Prove to my satisfaction. It shouldn't be hard. If God is all-powerful, he should be able to create an image of a god-like figure and appear before me. It would take almost no effort on his part. That's all the proof I need. If God wants me to follow him, he should make that small effort. Pray to him to do this tonight. Then get back to me and see if it happened. Trust me. If it happened, I will tell you. Why wouldn't I? I'll be his biggest follower.

No evidence for one means that it is a wild guess. Someone made up an answer for what they didn't understand. If you want to believe stuff without any evidence, email me. I can think up a lot of weird s*** that you are going to have to believe.
For starters, I am a little green man from Zetox.

Proving negatives is a stupid way to live. There's also no proof that there is no tooth fairy, but do you believe in it? No, of course not. So why do you believe in God, then? For no good reason, that's why.
"Gut"s don't discover new things. Science does.
