Ok, What reason did you give her for doing something like that? If I thought that my son, regardless of age, was doing something wrong on the computer, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Better for your Mom to find out that you are into something illegal before the authorities do. I guess I have a hard time believing that she did this without you having given her a darn good reason. You live with your Mom, it's her home, her rules. If you were someplace on the Internet that you know she wouldn't approve of.......*shrugs* your fault. Also, we, on this answer column have no clue whether you have kids near that she would not want them to find crap like porn, etc. I'm answering as a Mom and Grandmom that would not want my grand kids to be exposed to some of the stuff that's on line, that adults get into.

1. use process explorer to check which services the software is running, then disable them using windows service manager.
2. don't let your psycho mother near your laptop again, lol.

The only way to be sure is to reformat the drive and start from scratch. I suggest loading Linux on it next time so she won't be able to do this again (or at least not as easily).

all softwares can be uninstalled. try to check under add or remove programs and see if you find any program that may be suspicious, maybe that could be the tracking software, then uninstall it

better yet, leave the software on there, and use a linux live cd such as ubuntu or centOS to surf the web and stuff, then when you reboot you cannot have stuff installed.
