If the U.S. does not pick sides, Japan would win. Japan doesn't worry (as yet) about Political Correctness nor world opinion. I base this on the UK's response to their latest crisis with Iran.

First off, only Americans from the Southern States say "Britishers"; don't fall to an all-time language low.

Secondly, the British would win if other countries did not get involved. The Japanese strategy is to simply hold off an attack long enough for the yankees to come and save them. Their military numbers around 150 000; the British have almost triple the amount.

The British also have a better navy, ranked 2nd in world ratings, only beaten by the Americans.

And their airforce; the Japanese currently have just over 450 aircraft. The British maintain a force of over a thousand.

As you can see, the British outnumber the Japanese by around 3-1. Combined with the fact that the Japanese soldiers have recieved little training since the 1990's, and that Brits are considered amongst the world's most elite, I think Britain could easily win the day.

Well, Japan really doesn't have an army and all of their equipment is made in the USA. Japan swore off war at the end of WW2.

- A side note - America and Japan are very close allies and would not go to war with one another. We rebuilt them after WW2, crafted a constitution for them as well as a new system of government and now, they are the second richest country in the world.

-One more side note - EVeRY SINGLE COUNTRY that has gone to war with America - 1) is now an ally of ther US
2) is far better off than before the war - Even Vietnam is a quasi ally and is a wealthy country and is getting wealthier - because of US help after the war.

Oh yeah - my friends wife is from Venezuela - she left because of Chavez - What do you think of what he is doing to your country. Please email me. I would love to hear your opinion.

My opinion is that this is all going to blow up in his face. The kind of socialism he is instating is going to bankrupt your country. Trust me - he is going to rule you with an iron fist once he has taken everything from you guys. And he is stealing from you. Do you see this? Or do I have it all wrong.

-wasnt this question about the UK?lol...

Well pretty much everything I said about America in here applies to Britain as well.

You're an idiot. Your question is devoid of a point and therefore will be met with sarcasm.

PS: here is a bit of advice, stay off the crack pipe when asking future questions.....

PSS: stop supporting Hugo Chavez...he isn't the best thing to happen to Venezuela, period.

Hugo Chavez is good for Venezuela as he helps the poor not the greedy people who want the oil profits for themselves.

i've got in no way been to the two place. i think of i'm going to compliment the united kingdom, however. That climate is extra to my liking. chilly and wet. and that i somewhat love eire, Scotland, England... everywhere in that area seems staggering... and it relatively is the place my ancestors are from, so i'm slightly biased.

just so you know that would NEVER happen. both countries are two closly linked to th united states. we would act as a mediator in ANY circumstance involving violence between those nations. further more if it came down ot it the UK would lose, because the united states is still required to defend japan because of treaties settled after world war too. so anyone vs japan is basically anyone vs japan and the USA.

What's the question? Who do we think would win? The UK would, but I don't see them having a war, as there has to be a conflict to go to war and as far as I know, there is none.
