To REALLY get rid of migraines without cost or drugs, seeing a therapist, accupuncture, or dosing on caffeine and laying down in the dark for hours with an icepack - the best remedy is to give yourself a form of accupressure (accupuncture without needles). A Shiatsu Migraine Treatment, which you can do yourself, or anyone can learn to do for you if you get simply paralyzed! It takes me about 5 minutes, and it's GONE.

You can do it anywhere. You can learn how to do it easily - just search: Instant Migraine Treatment with Shiatsu and you get great resources. I learn best by "seeing", not reading, so try this: http://www.migraineandheadache.com
Best wishes!

I am really intrigued by Billie's response and, if I can take the pain, may try it the next time I get a migraine. I didn't get them until a few years ago and, with the pain I experienced, I thought the first one was a brain tumor or something of that sort. Unless you have a confirmed diagnosis of migraines, it wouldn't hurt to go see a doctor. There are some amazing meds out there now. In the interim, I'd try Billie's advice -- sure can't hurt; might help a lot. Good luck.

I used to get a lot of migraines, I only get them occasionally now, as I found that they were related to food allergies. The ice pack on the back of the neck does help. I'd not heard of the toothpaste, I would try it, just to see if it works....Normally over the counter meds don't really help much, I usually go to bed and sleep, it will eventually ease up on it's own. Look into the allergies though, if you get migraines often.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation & intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

This may sound crazy, but it does work. place an ice pack on the back of your neck, laying down in a quiet cool room. Massage toothpaste, yes toothpaste, into your temples and rest for fifteen minutes. repeat as needed.
