Do you actually look into their eyes and talk to them, only to see their expression.....as if they understand what you are saying?? What's one of the things you say often to your dog?

i tlak to my dogs.
they listen.they lay down and stare.
has anyone ever read/heard that if you and your dog have a good relationship your dog can read your mind?
i thought it was crazy. but i tried to tell my dog to do someting(in my mind) and widly enough she did it.
i told her to touch one point come to me, then go back to that point. she did it. it kinda scared me at first.

Yes, as dogs can recognize specific words. Look at your dog and say "would you like a little treat this morning". The dog only recognized one word in that sentence but knew the whole meaning. I often give my dogs commands in a conversational manner. "Hey Belle, you better be quiet or you will have to go into the house". The dog recognized three things in that sentence. Its name, Belle, the word "quiet", and "go into the house". Of course dogs also recognize words by inflection/tone and body language. Mostly when I look into their eyes and talk to them I'm just telling them what good dogs they are.

We have four puppies and we talk to them all the time. Each dog is different so we talk differently with them. I believe they understand some words not all. Repeated words. The one puppie (Carmel) i tell her she's a good girl. She's a little cutie.
She'll look you right in the eye like she's thinking on what i said.

Yes I talk to my dogs. I really enjoy their expressions and actions when I say certain things to them. Each one of my dogs has their own individual personality and they react different to everything I say to them.

I have 4 dogs.. all the same breed.. Eskies or American Eskimos for those who do not know the breed and I know they understand what I say by their actions and expressions. Just because they do not speak my language or me theirs does not mean we do not communicate, it just means we have learned a different way of communicating.

Of course I do, and of course they understand! (To some extent, obviously, not the same way humans do.) My dog Sunny talks back sometimes. He's very vocal--just not very articulate :) If something really excited is going on, Rusty will chime in with some howling, too!

Yes, I talk to my doggy's and they love it!!

They'll look at my turn there heads when I'm saying something serious. Then I'll say something like you know? Then she will look at me in my eyes and will like do the boging head thing but not like yes or no.

I do it all the time. She can understand most of what I'm telling her, too. I can even ask her yes or no questions and get either a jump for yes or a shake for no.
