How can you ignore facts and recorded history?

The Islamic world has contributed too much, and these gifts are completely ignored by the world because of the hatred caused by the missionaries. The ‘Dark Ages’ of Europe was extinguished by the Light of Islam, and the entire world has ignored the historical facts of how Europe came to power, it translated the Arabic works of Muslim Spain and used the knowledge to attack Islam. A clear study of European history shows that Islam gave birth to the Renaissance, and the Muslim contributions were carried over to Europe. The ignorant Europeans of the ‘Dark Ages’ were civilized by the knowledge transmitted to them.

History shows that wherever Christians traveled, they destroyed the knowledge and wisdom of that culture, burning to ashes the Ancient Wisdom which prepared the way for 1500 years of Darkness. Yet Islam brought the Christians out of Darkness.

What is your point? That Islam thrived in the "Dark Ages" and that's where they remain?
Good point...I totally agree.

It was the Taleban (muslims) that destroyed all those buddhist statuesin Afghanistan wasn't it?

So what is the light of Islam then? Roadside bombs in Fallujah? Suicide bombers on the London underground?

The Middle East was the cross roads of commerce... that is why so much knowledge concentrated there...it had nothing to do with islam...the knowledge was gleaned ffrom all the known world from as far as China that area already had the position before moohamid came along... and Europe was in a dark age,... but as soon as that ended and there was freedom the ones with the knowledge fled the tyranny of islam for the relative freedom elsewhere... and you conveniently skip over your own reference to Spain which was conquered by the hoards of islam... and that is why the knowledge was used to free them from bondage...

the quaran is from the so-called god allah... muslims beleive that there is only one quaran... that there is only one islam... that the quaran is islam and islam is the quaran...

The quaran clearly states that all who do not submit to the law of the quaran and islam are to be killed. from the begining of islam, 600 yrs after The Church was put in place by The One True God, Islam has been the enemy of all the rest of the human population... any who follow islam are enemies of all others.

I have heard of Honorable contribution on this site before but it is usually when someone has gained some extra points as it means that someone had a violation overturned and their points returned. However to have 800 points deduced seems a bit strange, sorry to be blunt but you have not been one of those people with multiple accounts etc who has been caught! Apologies for suggesting that but it is the only thing I can come up with, if you do not have multiple accounts then it might wise to email Yahoo and ask them about the points deducted.

You are partly right about this but you must go back further in history to really understand what happened.

You must read Zecharia Sitchin's books to get an interesting take on the history of religions. His findings are documented very well.

You can't follow his research and stay with any religion or believe in a God almighty. Facts are facts no matter what you want to believe. It is only a matter of time the unacceptable with become the accepted.

with all due respect sister but i think ur question lacks some respect to christianity. i see ur new here but we muslims on here try our best to spread Islam with respect Inshallah u will do the same in the future and not throw out facts like this that some might find offensive by telling us "Islam brought christianity out of darkness" u are making it sound like we muslims are the best. dont get me wrong ur right Islam has done many things that dont get noticed but it works better with respect.
thanx
(no offense meant by the way)

I do wish we could stop beating the drum of the past. Atrocities were perpetrated on all sides. The value in knowing that is so that these things don't get repeated, but they still do.

All this time spent complaining about the past or bragging about it mean that we are not living in the present moment, which is the only moment there is. And in the present there is a world filled with hatred, intolerance and suffering.

Could we not take our faiths and use them to relieve suffering and improve the human condition? I believe we all can.

Do I discern some real hate in you towards Christianity.Do you realize this is why people believe Muslims are so full of hate. There is one God,one true God,His love is perfect.God sent Christ for us,for redemption of his people,he forgives, has grace, mercy, and love.He is tenderhearted and full of compassion. He will judge, not I.Your hate will be very destructive,it cannot be from the God I know.I know nothing of your religion, but if this is what they preach I want none of it.God does love you,and understands you.I truly hope you will turn to him and recieve his heart towards humanity.Be blessed

With all due respect, you have made a simple error:
You believe that christendom is Christianity.
No.
Christendom is the most pitiful representative of Christianity one could find!
The various catholic and protestant denominations have taught lies.
They have opened the door to paganism.
They have twisted and turned the simple truths of Christ into a sham.
They are the ones Peter referred to in Acts 20:29,30
"...after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves."
Please do not think of christianity as represented by christendom.
