In YouTube would still make sense, but it sounds awkward because you are never in a website, you're always on a website. (I know of no other explanation, sorry. English is troublesome.)

it's in........if the sentence ended with You Tube it would be on but You Tube is the adjective describing the contest so it's in. whenever in doubt say the sentence without the descriptive adjectives....cutest girl in contest....
