is it real that us engineers sucks in dating? (i'm talking about typical engineers) or am i just making excuse for my self cuz i'm such a looser in dating? hehe ;)
all the engineers i know (and i really mean all) really hopeless in dating.

First of all, please don't call yourself a "loser in dating", or a loser in anything else for that matter.
I'm not an engineer, but I also "suck" at dating. Some people are better at it than others. But like everything else in life, it improves with practice. A date can probably be more fun if there are less expectations put upon the outcome. If you look at a date as an opportunity to have fun with someone of the opposite sex, and nothing more, than who knows what can develop. No projections, and no expectations. Just fun.
There is a television show called BEAUTY AND THE GEEK that you might enjoy that deals with this topic. I'm not sure whether previous seasons are available on DVD or not.

No not hopeless. I think you just feel hopeless in a dating type situation. If you approach a girl with confidence in yourself and start up a nice conversation, things will happen naturally. (but with n e one no matter who you are, there are chances of being rejected, the thing is, is to not be afraid of it...it happens to everyone!)
