Life is short but it don't have to be full of pain, and the pain you feel here if your a christian you won't feel it eternal, because there is no pain or tears or sickness in Heaven..Everyone of us has our time with pain, suffering from a lost of a loved one to a broken marriage or relationship, but the pain we feel is nornal, but at the same time we have to pick our selves up again and keep going..Its not the end of the world you still have life in you, the pain can be taken away if you just ask Jesus to take it and believe in your heart He does and will...and yes it does matter, everything matters..your in my prayers..

It's a good thing we can feel pain, or else we wouldn't feel anything, and if we didn't feel anything than we wouldn't be able to feel good either. Being able to feel makes life worth living, without it we would be robots.

Also, I'm not buddhist but a friend was just telling me about a Buddhist concept where you should enjoy pain and suffering, and just take it as another life experience. Try to avoid it of course, but accept it as part of life and just experience it. I liked it anyway.

Saying nothing matters is the same as saying that everything matters. Create meaning for yourself.

No it isn't. This life is very short compared to all of eternity. And if you know Jesus Christ, you can believe what the bible says: "the present sufferings of this life are not worthy of being compared to the glory to come". I will be with God forever. I can wait.

all THINGS change. the pain is temporal. maybe aeons long but NOT eternal. what matters is the understanding of pain. it arises and it passes away. cling to no thing.

Kid, you dont have anything to whine about. It could always be worse. Trying living in Darfur or Palestine or any starving nation in Africa. Now they have a right to complain!

If you get that "matter" out of your eyes, you might see more clearly? -- smiles- Good luck on your new quest. I simply feel you will not give up.
