I don't believe you were born into sin. I think we all chose sin, after all, sin is making a bad choice when you know the good choice. So what was the bad choice that we all made, that we moved away from God, that we moved toward ego to the point we no longer knew God. God though is always there for us, loving us the whole time, if even we sometimes forget that. We can now make the good choice of getting to know God again.

Many people have this dillemma in their mind. It is a very good quesiton. Because of the disobedience of our first parents (Adam & Eve) the whole human race is predisposed to selfishness. Sin is selfishness, (1 John 3:4) But the good news is that God has made provision for everyone who has ever lived through Jesus Christ. So, even though you and I never did anything before we were born to have this natural bent toward selfishness, we also did not do anything to merit Jesus to come and die for our sins. Hope this helps to shed some light on this issue. If you want to hear more answers to Bible questions, check out the source below, good stuff. Peace.

People are not born into sin. This is a false teaching of Catolics and Calvinists. We are born with the "ability" to sin. If we were born into sin, babies would die and go to hell. Try reading the bible on your own without some nutty "pastor" telling you what to think.

Some woman took a bite out of an apple, then threatened to cut her boyfriend off if he didn't take a bite too. So of course he took a bite like any sane man would in the same situation. Then the apple owner came back, and was so ticked at losing an apple or two, that he damned them, and all thier kids to hell for eternity. Then some holy man came along and made a religion out of it.

When Adam fell into sin, that resulted in every one of his descendants also being “infected” with sin (Psalm 51:5)

the fact that we are born sinners results in the fact that we all sin. notice the progression in romans 5:12: sin entered the world through adam, death follows sin, death comes to all people, all people sin because they inherit sin from adam. thankfully, Jesus Christ is the savior from sin.

We did not do anything bad......Adam and Eve's going against GOD is what caused us to be born into sin. It was ALL a part of GOD's bigger plan. The best we can do is live our life the best we can and to ask GOD into our lives & ask HIM for forgiveness of our sins.
GOD BLESS

That's a big lie that people don't want to believe to be a lie. Do we inherent sins from our ancestors? Does it sound fair if you go to jail because your grandfather killed somebody before you were even born?

I can not understand an "all loving God" that makes each individual pay for someone elses sin. We had no choice in the matter...

Might I just add, that for a forgiving and merciful Creator,
He really knows how to hold a grudge.

Two people eat apples from God's secret stash, and rest of humanity has to pay for it forever.

Yeah, that sounds fair.

We inherited it. This makes no sense to me. If a God wished to rid us of sin, why not just do it? Why sacrifice a son to accomplish this when you are all-powerful? And why make it so people have to worship you. That seems bigoted. This is what led me away from Christianity. My soul works in a different way.
