I want to send a you tube video to someone by email but you can because it has to be converted to another type of format. So what program can I use to convert them plz help

I bought a Camera made by Canon and they had it to where I was able to transfer the file to AVI. As for free why don't you try saving some $ and getting decent software. Sometimes at Fry's Electronics they offer rebates on software where it is free in the end.

Youtube is purposely designed so you cannot do that. Send your friend a link instead and they can go see for themselves.
