I have a 93 Jeep Cherokee 2 door with the 4.0L engine, and all of a sudden it decided to not start. I changed the plugs and wires about 3 months ago and it seems that the spark plugs are getting NO spark. I thought it might be the coil; I replaced it and still didn't start. Please, Someone help!

I have tried taking the spark plug out before hand and it gets NO spark. I can also hear the fuel pump start going once I turn the key to the "ON" position.

set the plug up somewhere close to metal, DONT HOLD ON TO IT!!
lay down next to the jeep close to the gas tank as you can. have a buddy turn on the key, dont try to start it just turn on the key, you should hear the humming sound of your sending unit/fuel pump. if not you need a new one. other than that check your fuel filter. it may be plugged. disconnect the end farthes away from the tank and turn the key. if the pump is good it will push gas through the filter, unless the filter is plugged.

The 4.0s timing is controled by the computer via the Crank Position sensor. This sensor is a common failure. If the computer is not getting a signal from the sensor it will show power to the coil but not to the plugs. Vary likely the CPS is bad.
This sensor is connected to the wire harness close to the rear of the throttle body. It is a round connection with 3 pins. Make sure the connection is clean and tight. IF that is good then follow the wire down the back drives side of the engine and check for breaks. If nothing is found then you can check the sensor with a OHM meter. 5 ohms is what you should get. If different then replace the sensor. It is connected to the transmission bell housing with 2 bolts.

Okay, on the bell housing, drivers side at around 30 degrees from top is the crankshaft position sensor. Probably cannot get to from above, but you should be able to find the wiring harness to it. Easy things first. Unplug the wire from the connector, check for corrosion and reconnect. 8 times out of 10 it will start. This is VERY low AC current signal to the computer and SLIGHT corrosion will kill the spark. Still won't start? Two ways, connect AC LOW Digital volt meter..1 volt and DOWN to these sensor connection. Connect one lead to each wire and crank..No voltage, sensor shot.
NO, not yet to spend money. From below the drivers side reach up and unbolt the sensor. DO NOT drop anything, into the bell housing opening as your remove. The tip of the sensor is magnetic. ANY small particle of metal on it will keep it from functioning. Now, the hard part..replace or reuse. My vote is replace it.
Good luck and yes these can fail unexpectedly.

Have you checked the fuel pump? Sounds like the fuel pump might be shot.

Also if you suspect no spark you can remove a spark plug and leave it attached to the plug wire, have someone crank the engine while holding the plug close to a metal object on the vehicle, if it sparks then I would start looking for fuel delivery problems.

Hey. No Spark means it's the Crank Sensor. I would not clean it cause let me tell you; getting it off is enough trouble and to do all that just to clean it is not really worth it. It's a 35 dollar part and trust me, it's not that easy to remove unless you unbolt the front driveshaft. You can unbolt the front driveshaft and it will make it a whole lot easier. God Bless.

crank sensor is most probable answer. but also auto shut down relay may be bad open the relay box near the battery swap the asdand starter relays if still cranks with no start both relays are working check crank sensor w\volt meter

You should get the vehicles computer scanned and check for any problems as well as codes and then you will have a good idea on what the problem truly is.
