Most government agencies are exempted from income and sales taxes. They do have to pay payroll taxes.

First, what is a "govevment"? If you mean government, then the answer depends on whether you mean income rec'd by the government or government jobs or a plethora of other government things. State and Federal employees pay income taxes. The money disbursed by the government to pay for things such as public aid and certain types of other aid is untaxed. There are some types of income rec'd from the government that are taxed too. Like unemployment compensation, disability, and others. I hope this answers your question about "govevment".

Nevada does not have an income tax, but it has taxes on all the tourists coming to Vegas. What stays in Vegas is in large part your money.
