One is indeed shocked over how some Bible bashers desperately try to salvage a revolting, terrorist, bloody massacre of Ethnic Cleansing into a happy Cana marriage festival. And this while screeching, maimed, blooded baby boys, men and women lay all around, with baby virgins and young girls seeing their parents being brutally slaughtered in front of their very eyes - corpses laing all around - a manslaughter unprecedented in the annals of mankind. All butchered at the command of the loving and compassionate Jehovah. Equally sickening is how they try to conceal the fac this was out-right theft, more clear than that of Enron ever was. They even brag that God ordered the theft! The Bible says: YOU MUST NOT STEAL, and YOU MUST NOT DESIRE YOUR FELLOWMAN'S HOUSE (Exodus 20). Do you forget what they taught you at Sunday School? Shame on you. Do you know the word of SHAME?

This is a lie. Neither God nor Christ would ever condone rape.

This so-called questioner's lying accusation is shameful, and is becoming tiresome. It is particularly shameful because this questioner's slander plainly disagrees with the bible and godly principles of the time. Rape was never even tolerated, much less encouraged.

Israelite soldiers were allowed to marry captives, but had to treat them with the same rights and respect due to a natural-born Israelite wife.
(Deuteronomy 21:10-13) In case you go out to the battle against your enemies and Jehovah your God has given them into your hand and you have carried them away captive; 11 and you have seen among the captives a woman beautiful in form, and you have got attached to her and taken her for your wife, 12 you must then bring her into the midst of your house. She must now shave her head and attend to her nails [for hygienic reasons], 13 and remove the mantle of her captivity from off her and dwell in your house and weep for her father and her mother a whole lunar month; and after that you should have relations with her ["your wife"], and you must take possession of her as your bride, and she must become your wife.

Whoever is giving you the interpretation of Numbers 31:35 as gang rape is NOT an educated Bible scholar, nor is he/she in the Spirit of God. there is an assumption being made here that these 32,000 virgins were raped or used as sex slaves. i say assumption because nowhere does it state that either occurred. In the Middle East women are considered property, then and now. In war of ancient times, women were considered part of the spoils of war. This is not gang rape or slavery. You are being seriously misled and it sounds like someone is taking scripture out of context for political purposes, taking history and turning it into a racist tool to incite trouble. Be careful who you listen to----there are many people out there who are trying to stir up revolution.

This is the classic example of lifting something out of context. When you do that-then it should not make sense-and this does not. "How could a loving and compassionate God allow such?" ...is what is usually asked. Read it in context. What happened before Numbers 31??? Hmmm? , and, before that?? Look at the whole story, not just 2 or 3 verses. This begins in Genesis 3!!!

And "Get up we must be going"
is an appropriate comment in the morning to someone you have sent out to be gang-raped all night.
Apparently.
(Judges 19)

There are good number of "Texts of terror" where blatent injustice and cruelty passes without condemnation or adverse comment.

No, no, no. Genocide is OK if the Lord commands it. Otherwise he would just be a monster like Herod, Pope Innocent III, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Mladic and others.

This is the same Lord who is the keeper of absolute morality.

LOL!
