Is it ok to wear my mini skirt to church and it is short?

Question

Yes I have worn this mini skirt to church and I was
concerned about my butt showing to much
of everything or my panties showing and I did have
my slip on underneath
My slip tends to come down on me below the hemline
of my skirt and my slip will show sometimes

I am just like what ?? I do fix my slip in the girls bathroom

And yes I am a 51 year old woman and
I do look great and have a good
body

U know what! if u had to ask that question then u know it is WRONG to wear a mini skirt to church! The Lord said come as u are but this is ridiculous! So what if u have a banging body for the age of 50, there is a time and a place for everything and the church is not the place for a mini, the club is! If u don't want whispering about u at church I suggest that u leave the mini at home and invest in a suit or a nice dress.

If you feel comfortable in a mini skirt, what i find amusing is that your asking strangers what do they think, the real question here is what do you think? i get the impression your self esteem is the issue here, and you may worry about what other people think, and that probably makes you feel uncomfortable, ill be honest im 46 years i have a 27 year old daughter and i look great, people think we are sisters at times, I get a lot of comments on how good i look. I think there is a fine line of dressing classy or trashy as we get older, i think the real issue is the fashion industry is mostly created for the younger age group and if you think like me I don't want to look like like a washed out potatoe bag wearing daggy clothes, if i look good i feel good, so the same goes for you if you look good then feel good without being trashy though. Also there will be a lot of woman who wish they looked as good as you, but personally i would wear pants to church for your own comfort.

Probably not Ok.. a good rule to keep in mind is when you stand up and put your arms straight down by your sides, your skirt should be at least as long as the tips of your fingers- that will ease your fears of showing too much. But, take to hear what some of the other people are saying, please consider the men, and the teenagers in that church, as they will much appreciate a modest woman, and if you're looking to get a guy- they guys there, at least the good ones won't be going for immodest women. You need to be in a different place with that skirt like the club or walking the streets trying to sell yourself. Very inappropriate for a woman your age. You should know better. What are you trying to do by wearing that in church? Grow up lady. You can wear sexy clothes without being trashy or tacky.

Why would you want to wear that short of a mini skirt to church, are you purposely looking for the negative attention, because I guarantee you that they are thinking that you need to go home and change and praying that the boys and men are not being influenced by your bad choice of clothing.

Your underwear and slip should not show in any outfit ever. Church is not the place to wear mini skirts. You should be MODEST in a house of worship, dear. Please do not embarrass yourself by showing skin. Have some self-respect and buy some knee length skirts, or wear pants.

I'm sorry to be blunt Jess, but I believe you should be less missleading, and actually a little less miss (my opinion). Do you believe in the God of the Bible Jess? Have you given your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you see the lie that satan is telling you, that you are not what God made you but you are something else?

As for your question a woman (I mean a real woman) at church should dress appropriately and somewhat modestly, not drawing undue attention to herself so as to be a distraction to the purpose of corporiate worship. I mean even Eddie Izzard dresses modestly, but I don't expect him to dress like a woman at church.

I also believe that your attire choices will not go over well in any true fundamental or evangellical Christian fellowship. My guess is you will find a few liberal churches professing to be Christian, that will allow it but....

Some of you will undoubtedly criticize me for being judgemental. I would then direct your attention the 1 Cor 5 and the Appostle Pauls exhortation to those believers to be judgemental of those that are in the church. We as believers are called upon to police ourselves. If I am sinning it is my brothers duty to help me out and tell me whats up. We are called in the book of Eph 5 "to be subject to one another" as it relates to the church.

PS: if you go into a girls bathroom and are caught by local authorities, you could be liabel for a range of charges, attempted pedopheolia, would come to mind 1st. I don't believe you want to be listed as a sex offender do you? not to mention what a mother or father of a daughter could do to you if your caught at the mall or at church (b4 the cops get there). I suggest you get back to the mens room regardless of your attire. If that's a problem maybe you should dress like a man at least at church.

Church is a holy place and not the place for something that
short. If you have concerns about it don't do it. Someone may
take issue with it too. You don't want to cause problems for
yourself do you? I am sure you are cute as can be in your
mini skirt. Wear it when you can be relaxed and feel ok about

What is your motivation for wearing the skirt? Are you trying to attract guys? Or are you just showing off your legs and butt. Both motives are inapropriate for worshipping God. If you cause someone else to stumble, you have sent that person the wrong message. We need to encourage others to good works not lustful thoughts. So If you have to ask then it is not OK.

Sounds to me like you're going to church to show off/pick up guys. Wearing a mini skirt, revealing blouse, etc. is horribly tacky and rude when going to church.

If I were you, I'd worry less about your wardrobe and more about your faith and priorities in life.
