Just curious why people come on answers and post questions like "I have green gunk coming out of you know where, could I be sick?", or "Am I dying?" or "I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 90 lbs, do I have an eating disorder?". I mean, seriously now...see your doctor already!! Esp. if there's a pregnancy involved!!

Well, lots of these folks are snarks. They just want to get a rise out of people because they have nothing going on in their lives that is worthwhile. Sometimes I think they are wondering about something they thought they might experience. Sometimes I think they are wondering about something they heard.
For instance, if you heard that green gunk came out of you know where, maybe you'd just like to know ''well, what is it?" even though you don't have the problem (I answered that question BTW).
The ones that get me are the constant "could I be pregnant"? If you think you are pregnant take a danged test according to the instructions! It's not like they aren't easy to find these days. Ok..got that out. I'm done now.

no longer each and every man or woman is conscious how a lot help is presented. those who do recognize will be fully wondered and beaten with the help of all the flair components. Psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, counselors, kinds of treatment (CBT, DBT, etc); surely, who would recognize the position to commence? How did you recognize who to call or what to do? Y! solutions isn't the cornerstone of every person's treatment plan, yet human beings can get free suggestion from persons who've lengthy previous by an similar stuff. If someone has a question about a medicine, why no longer ask somebody else who has taken it? If someone appears like hurting themselves, isn't it good that fairly of *doing* it, they're on the internet searching for coping recommendations? I do my superb to refer human beings to the right type of professional help, and that i urge different customers to do an similar. yet psychological ailments like bipolar ailment and melancholy do not comprise a guidance guide, and that i'd not in any respect decide someone for *how* they search for help. as long as they search for help in any respect, we are able to element them contained in the right course.

Because sometimes you can't get into a doctor straight away - where I live in Australia sometimes its 3 days before you can get to a doctor so to help but your mind at rest we ask questions.
Also its good to hear other peoples experiences with certain conditions as doctors can't really tell you what to expect unless they have been through it !
I agree sometimes you wonder why people are asking esp when they say they are in lots of pain!

Professionals use it too because of course they don't have all the answers and a lot of good info is posted even for really dumb questions. Not only is it cheap, the service is basicly free. Anybody can use it and post and learn something if they want to.

Because most of the time we learn through others experiences, sometimes people that have been through it can explain to others what to expect or what is normal or not normal, and there are professionals on this site as well..Why would you care what others ask anyway, this is what this site is for or else they would not have titles like pergnany or sexuall heath, or womans heath or just health in genral.

I do agree with you. I think people are more comfortable asking other people from the comfort of their home or work. It is very true though, people ask things like I am bleeding profusely from a gaping wound...shoud i go to a doctor??? Well Yeah!! HELLO

well, one, it's an instantaneous and diverse set of answers. two, it's mostly advice, which everyone needs or wants now and again. three, people may not always want to go to the extremes of paying for a doctor; or if it's emotional, maybe they're afraid, and want anonymous help first.

Well, going to a professional costs MONEY. So people might try to get as much info as they can for free.
Besides, it's fun and you don't have to wait for an appointment.

because it is less personal and there is less judgment or rejection or uneasiness. I agree with people needing to go to the doctor's office too for most of this stuff.
