the intensity of training determines how frequent it should be performed. vary your rep ranges if you like training 3x a week. one day mon do high intensity training at say 80%+ of the 1RM. wed kick it down to 70% of the 1RM and friday back up to 83% of the 1RM.

also vary your rep ranges. one day do 3x5 another do 3x10 and another do 2-3x20+, etc.

stretch...flexibility and resistance training go hand-n-hand. the more flexible a muscle the more force it can generate through it's entire range of motion. and flex for 5-10 minutes. muscle control is a big part of gaining muscle mass

It definitely sounds like you are over training, you should give your chest about 48-72 hours to recover from the workout.

How old are you? Age has a lot to do with the amount of muscle you can develop. Look at you dad's physique, if he has no chest, and has never had one, it could be an unfortunate genetic factor that you too will neer have a chest.

What does your split look like? How much weight are you using and how many sets/reps are you doing?

If you do a heavy chest workout say on Monday and a light chest workout on friday you should see some noted improvement.

No, 3 times a week if fine for working out your chest. Only take an extra day off if your sore to the point where you feel you can injury yourself. Aslong as you don't over due yourself, you should be fine.

It's best to give any muscle group at least 48 hours of rest between workouts. This will help the muscles fully repair themselves (since you are essentially tearing the fibers while exercising). This will not only prevent any injury, but will help build the muscles faster & stronger.

I would take a step back and look at your diet. Remember without a good diet your weight training is nothing

it really depends on what kind of exercise you are doing.
i dont really recommend benching 3 times a week, but i dont think you are overtraining.
